My Demo (.dem) file stays on the same map

Hey, i recorded demos (.dem) files on different maps. When i try to play them, they are loaded but they stay on the map de_dust.
I recorded my demos on aztec and survivor and other maps...

They are walking through walls and everywhere on dust.. when the map should be aztec.

Why are my demos playing on the dust map when they should be playing on the aztec map....

not sure, hasnt happened to me, are you recording yur demos with diff names?

record dust, record aztec

dunno, i have corrupt demos before, but usually the players models switch around.

If you allow a map load during recording the demo won't always play on the correct level.

You need to start recording and stop within the same map.

I stopped each demo before the end of the map....

I started the demo on de_survivor and ended it on de_survivor

I also made sure it said demo complete...

When i play the demo it's on the dust map with the players moving on the survivor map.

I was recording a suspected cheater on an anti-cheater protected server. So i really need to know how to fix this problem.

I was allways told to switch to the map the demo is on, and then play it. The map was allways reloaded, so i assumed this wasn't nessacery, but maybe it's a quirk in the HL engine that pops up now and again.

/map de_survivor
/playdemo surv1.dem 0.9

That should do it. I think the number at the end dictates what speed the demo is played at. I found that demos run too fast, so 0.9 is about real time.

A friend of mine couldnt play any demo's at all until he downloaded demoplay (which was created for some shit game probably, hehe, jk, dont rail me)

I always use geekplay to play demos
