my crisis...

I have recently spent alot and i mean alot of my money on armour and items etc, on all my chars i have around 500g i think... being in a bit of a money crisis i think skilling up my tailor is the best option as it seems cheapest and quickest to skill up on?

my aim is 800 metalworking so i can hinge and stuff with diamond seals, will it cost alot of money to get to 800 MW?
What do u crafters do when crafting to decrease the bordom?
Which class is best for farming in mid (warrior or savage) << i do have a bb lvl 36
Any advice or weblinks for looking for bargains in housing zone so i can sell for profit?

please give me your help and suggestions...thanks in advance

Savage is cool to farm thrust damage mobs, but not any other type of mobs (slash ones esp.)

Warrior kills slower, but takes damage a lot better.


for 800 tailoring- 1.3/1.5 plat.

Skilling up metalwork costs relatively nothing, since you get back like 98% of the created hinges.

When ure tailoring is 800, do get 300 pts mw with trinketing, then 300 pts mw with weaponcrafting then 200 pts mw with armorcrafting and then u got an df salvage bot in no time at all

A bit easier explanation of what duivel meant:


When you ding 800 at tailoring, lvl metalwork to 300 by itself, then start skilling up armorcrafting or weaponcrafting, even tho you craft lvl 1 etc items you will get points in metalworking as well, fast skillups.

Im not sure if Midgard crafting works the same as albion but in alb you can get metalwork up through fletching aswell.
Arrows cost hardlies anything to make and they seem to take alot less time to craft.

Also it may be worth getting tailoring to 825 and then match it with metalwork so you can do the newish trinkets that use 20 metal bars , they are alot easier on your fingers anyway

Well if we're at 'easy' topic then I'd go 1025 metalworking as the new areas in SI for all realms drop a lot of arcanium items, salvaging for 5-15 arcanium.

Better than df in my opinion

Really? Glad I've never bothered with them then, lol!!

(By comparison salvaged a pretty common studded vest from barrows today - got 73 asterite - had quite a few of these -yay me!)

butt, 15 seals = 1 longsword(alb) = 100 asesterite = 220g in 2-8 kills ( depending on luck )

Yes - I get your point - it's guaranteed income - pity Albs are crap at getting DF, really.

Bit outdated reply as I wasn't looking at this forum but, you could try going to your dragon zone, as drops there are HEAVY, asterite wise. A vest from malmo gives 159 (or was it 156?) asterite.


2 trips of pl/arti xp with my guild to malmo got me like 1000 asterite bars
