So far I shall be dropping big hints to my family for the following films:

The Hulk,
X-Men 2
Charlies Angels 2

Feel free to add any others you think are worthwhile to watch while you're stuffed full of turkey and gravy while dribbling, semi-conscious in a chair as your glass of mulled wine slowly tilts, emptying it's contents on the floor.

I got X-Men 2 recently, and I went for the one disk edition, based on my annoyance of X-Men 1.5 which had a selection of "extras" only worthy of recording on a coaster.

Awww wijlet. :)

Cohen brothers don't quite hit the spot for me although I have recently acquired the Big Lebowski which I intend to watch. And I did quite enjoy Fargo but not enough to own.
Same with David Lynch really. He's a tad weird. :p
*agrees on the Vin Deisel thing apart from Pitch Black*
I have Ring and have seen 2 and 3 but cba buying them (I have The Eye and Dark Water which rock btw)
Not seen audition but I have Battle Royale on a erm "backup disk".
Who's David Lean?
I'm trying to save money which means lower lighting and more clothes due to coldness.
Akira Kuro-whasimajig...never really watched any of his stuff but have heard lots about it.
Balzing Saddles fucking rocks but Damini hates Mel Brooks films so I'd have to lock myself away in a darkened room all by myself to watch it. :/

Oooh. I'm very interested in that last film from the 40's. I'll add that to my list.

I've heard of a few of those David Lynch films too. I very nearly watched mulholland drive but didn't get round to it and had to return the DVD.

Apparently we rented Audition too but never got around to watching it all. It was on channel 4 the other night too and I can't remember why I never watched it.

If you want an incentive, mulholland drive has lesbo sex. Watch it now!

Oh and if you want a less weird lynch film, get the straight story. It's a feelgood film and you might lose some street cred watching it, but it's awfuly good.

As for Coen brothers movies, try Raising Arizona, that's really good. Stay away from The Man Who Wasn't There though, looks utterly fantastic but it's not a great film tbh :\

edit: just realised Wij already mentioned the straight story. nm!

Coen brothers left their quirky humour out of Millers Crossing but it's still an ok film.

if you want action, get dog soldiers

if you want t&a, get sorority kittens 6

if you want hardcore, get perverted point of view or sumt

charlies angels2 tries to be a mix of dog soldiers and dreamquest, it fails miserably and totally sucks rancid dog balls.

just my not-so humble opinion.

The lesbo action in mulholland drive is rubbish, I didn't rent it just for that...honest.

That is all :)
