i drive a P reg 1.4 polo. for a while its been stalling when i goto shift to a lower gear. at first it was a minor annoyance as it only happend rarely. these days, lowering gear creates a 80% chance the car will stall. even going down hill or travelling at 50 mph it will stall. obviously this quite dangerous especially on roundabouts or junctions. sometimes im lucky and if i can get the clutch up quick enough it starts going again. othertimes i need to turn the key.
this doesnt just happen to me, its everyone who drives the car. so its not my driving thats the problem

battery has been changed. oil is fine.

anyone have a clue wtf the problem is?

Ahh, a Polo 1.4 - I think I know what your problem is, they released v1.8 a while ago and it solved the stalling/crashing problem for most people. If that doesn't work try re-installing your windows and see if that helps.
