And then the other day, i played a scenario.
I was idle killing or dieng and suddenly loot popped up...oh decisions!
A nice set item for a SW and i was ofc at that time on my AM?! damnation!
So..pass...but we have no SW in group..hmhm
So..greed...but i have seen that BW there mostly pressing need..
So..need...gives me a betetr chance to get it for my SW!
So i pressed greed, and of course the BW prssed need again and got the item.

After the scenario i pmed that guy asking why he was hording items and that it isnt ok if all press greed and one presses need.
He told me to l2p and there is a mutual agreement between guilds to allways press need, because someone in guild could need it. That agreement exists since beta and i should learn it.

Given i didnt believe a word i come here now and ask you mighty GMs. Truth? Lie? Stupid retard hording items?
And how is your opinion? Need when no GG? Greed all the time for equal chances? Pass because of it?

I'm with you Faya. If something drops our guildy may like and there is no other class of that type in sc then I will ALWAYS ask before rolling need. Its just rude not to.And when my guildies were in a sc and WH boots droppped they provided me the player name who won and this player, (guilded), readily agreed to let me have the boots so not everyone is like that :D

Who are these guilds that have a mutual agreement that he speaks of?

Basically the loot whore rolling need is talking bollocks.

However, its not worth getting upset about as there are always muppets in scenarios that are just out for themselves. I regard scenario-loot as something not worth bothering about - generally speaking PQ influence rewards are better from what I've seen so far.

Now the game is live, and the war has begun. Now it's YOUR turn to cry "Waaagh!" Maybe I can help by letting you in on some of the work we're doing to improve and enhance the game. We're on the threshold of another maintenance patch and continue to work on fixes which were brought to our attention by your great feedback. Though they may not all make this next batch, we are aggressively working on a number of things including knocking out a bug that limits alliances to just two guilds, additional crash and performance related fixes, adding a restriction to “need-ing” items in scenarios in order to limit the option to those careers that can actually use the loot, preventing AFK’ing in scenarios from being lucrative, and additional work towards the eradication of gold farmers.

Looks like the devs are listening :drink:

i always roll last and if i beleive someone is being a loot whore i will then need, this mutual agreement rubish is just made up by someone who thinks we all agree to it when we sign in to the eula.

Looks like the devs are looking at how to solve the problem, as for AFKers you should be able to put them on an ignroe list so you never have to go into a scenario with them.

Or ban them from entering a scenario if they afk through one for at least 24 hours.

if theres no class in the scenario that can use it. i'd say its free for all and need all you want. i mean, theres no real point in greeding then is there?

because someone WILL need that can't use it. so i'd recomend all needing then.

atleast then the loot whores still have to do their roll and hope for luck insted of waiting untill everyone have picked greed and then need for a guaranteed win..

/edit: no it wasent me that the OP pm'd ;)

tho it would be nice to know what name he has and guild he belonged in. IN A PM OFC, no name and shame on public forum!

The way I always play (and most I have grouped with) is greed it unless it's for your class then need away! If it's for your class and you don't want it, greed it along with everyone else.

What used to make me /lol was the people "need"ing potions that drop....thankfully that seems to have to stopped.

Learn to play and mutual agreement?

What a cool kid!? Wtf...

I press always need in scenarios because frankly I don't have the time to check stats and decide if I could need it. Easier this way.

Annoying habbit to always need.
If you don't find the time to check it, just greed it. Since Needing like that just means you're a greedy bastid :)

buy them from the renown vendors? mayhap expensive in the long run but it saves you the bad rep from being a loot whore.

bad rep? what bollocks. If I decide I need something, I need it. I may not win the roll anyway. You get better items in scen drops than from the vendors, I have had a lot of items with high stats for other classes than mine -these are really good for talisman making.

I am not being greedy, everyone is pressing need, so the chance of actually getting the items isn't that great.

As far as I am aware there is no agreement to roll need, and if Mythic stop 'need' when you cannot use it yourself then that is great.

CLA have a guild policy to roll need only if you can actually use it yourself, and that applies if other CLA are in group or not.

We know that it will not stop unless Mythic ban it, but hopefully most people will not 'need' for everything and will use it in the spirit it was intended.

There was no such agreement in the EU beta as far as I'm aware.
