Music Program, help please

Does anyone know a program where you can pick, lets say the drums and bass out of the song, so I can play along with the track on my guitar without the guitar being on the track, if you get what I mean :S

i dont know of software tbh. my father is a techy of sorts and told me of a method involving 2 tape decks. dont know much about it tbh, but theres a start for you anyway.

muting a source from a recorded medium is damn tricky with software and it tends to mute other stuff as well. either got to do it manually or just doesnt work.

best bet might be a dj software prog with killswitch options, but the best cost quite a lot.

You can 'buy': Guitar Pro 5... Has it all there (all tracks (most songs from most bands) are there, all tabbed (bass/guitar/drums etc) and you can mute =)
