And I would say any rock/metal band (well nearly any), even ones I dont like are probably more talanted than any hip-hop kinda stuff. Go pick up a guitar, or get some drums, and play to the level they do and I would be impressed.

I know I will get flamed to hell and back, but the one band I could never stand and still cannot stand to this day is Oasis. I find them to be seriously lacking in talent. Then again I have been brought up on a staple of late 70's and all 80's music like Duran Duran, Kate Bush, Queen, Pink Floyd so most bands today in my eyes have got a lot to live up to.

Isnt it obvious why I dont like them? They dont even sing, they shout. Basicly they are shit, nuff said. ANYONE can sing better than slipknot, even those retards who tried to on pop idol sing better than them.

Aggressive little shit, often clad in burberry, always in baseball caps (unless pratting around at its local chav nightclub) they ALL smoke of course, wear an assortment of sports clothes (probably from the market) and whatever townie crap is in fashion at the time. I hate any "band" (said loosely) that takes a classic song and skull-f*cks it from 40000 feet with their inane drivelly version of it. This includes:

Stuck inthe Middle with you - Steelers wheel (Classic!)- borked up by some talentless aussie bimbo whos not even tasty enough for me to say "id shag it"
Anything by Steps - who never had tallent and really want arse-f*cking with a red hot poker
Shaking Stevens - who also needs a scalding enema

Anything like S-club too, Abba wannabe's who will never go through puberty. Your dance routines are wank and make you look a tosser for life, youll never live it down!

Not all rap music is about anti-police, taking drugs and f*kin byatches etc, listen to it, some of it makes sense and is fun, Grandmaster Flash wrote "White Lines" to be anti-drugs n gangs.

ok tis all very well to abuse bands cos they are over hyped and commercial but......when you get to a certain age you will find yourself pissed up at a club on oldies night dancing to some of the cheesiest most manufactured tripe in the world and absoloutely loving it, just remember kids its all very well to have meaningful songs that touch your soul when you hear them but ya just cant boogey to em when your pissed!

Anyway, why would I hate anyone because their music doesn't appeal ? I listen to pretty much any genre of music.

You can't say Rap is teh crap, you obviously just don't appreciate it. Listen to Dre's Chronic and you'll realise that it does take talent to be a rapper. Snoop has it. Dre does not, that's why he leaves most of the rapping to Snoop and concentrates on the production where he excels.

Who was complaining that some metal bands can't sing ? It's not supposed to be singing. Somehow I think it would sound kind of out of place if Morbid Angel were fronted by Daniel O Donnel. It's a style. Part of the aesthetic.

Most artists/bands who get signed, certainly in less mainstream genres, get signed because they have some talent. Listen out for it. Expand your horizons. Don't live your lives in your comfortable self-made prisons.
