I find it funny because a lot of people that I know have had no end of problems with rightnow, myself included when my epic was bugged on my first L50.

It took 2 weeks to get them to sort it out, then they only reset it and I had to do L40 - L50 epics again, even though the bug was with the L48 one.

They respond with utter bollocks that proves no one has read what you send.

And the excuse "They deal with a lot of reports every day..." is bollocks as well, I deal with a lot of reports everyday in my job and I read EVERY ONE as I find customer service to be the most important aspect of my job.

The tech people aren't gamers and don't speak English as a first language.
And why is someone without sufficient knowledge of English dealing with support requests from players on English servers?

Doesnt take much to see that the query there shouldnt have been under 'technical' .....

is there any chance to get a warning next to "Technical" that says "this is only for XYZ queries for other stuff use ABC"?

They do speak english but they aren't gamers so most of the words in the Rightnow would be meaningless to them. They mostly deal with issues that are fairly constant - graphics card problems, connection difficulties etc for which the fixes are fairly straightforward and most often involve pointing people back to the FAQ which they should have read before submitting their question.
In game stuff is supposed to be passed on to the GM team. As I said - either the agent in question hit the autoresponse by mistake or misunderstood the question.
The category is chosen by the person who submits the query and that determines which department it gets sent to first.

Even so...

Still wish I had a job working on the English servers in some capacity...

Gotta be a hell of a lot better than the dump I work in now...

Even abuse from you lot would be preferable to what I get now :p

True Requiel, it just doesnt seem a question that'd be easy to misunderstand ;)

Might help - last time I used Rightnow I made the same mistake. 'Technical' seemed the most appropriate category for what was (and still is) a weird but harmless server side bug.

Guess there cant be too many people doing it otherwise it'd have been fixed by now :)

lol at the hypocracy of some people in this thread :m00:

since GOA customer support is such a big fan of short, unhelpful yet clear messages: most of the time, you suck. and so does your policy regarding (toa) bugs.

Rofl... are you serious?

Yes I'm serious... now go check the bows .. they're probably different speed or quality giving you a different critcap then your friend.

You are aware of that you are wrong, right?

Toa archery damage bonus DOES increase your cap damage. ;)

Read that back please .. it's a really weird question ...

If I was aware I was wrong would I be pretending I thought I was right?

As far as I know it doesn't increase capdamage just like having relics (str or magic) doesn't increase caps it just makes your damage higher making it easier to reach cap.

Please show me some guide or patchnote telling me different and I might realise and then off course admit I was wrong.

Oh, but it does. No patchnotes, no guides needed. Just go and test it. That's far more convincing. :)

Another day another lesson.

As soon as I cba to level one of my arti's with +archery damage I'll try it.

I'm not afraid to learn as I'm not afraid to be wrong.

Only childish people are and only childish people would make fun of it... :D

yeah, write a load of bollocks and after several people have to confirm you are wrong you still have the no-care attitude. not knowing your facts, ok, but correcting people with wrong info acting like you're really sure of your case, is stupid.

bit sad to see an e&e member say 'cba' when it comes to testing the mere basics of the game mechanics

shrug

I'd say they'd probably "recruit" people who aren't complete illerate fucktards.

Availability and /played time have a role too. Or in other words, they pick people who never unsubscribe and are always around. Or, at least, those are the kind of people they look for.

Nah it's probably based on peopleskills.

Things like friendlyness, a desire to help people, not being afraid to stand up for what one believes in without worrying to make a mistake because one realises it's ok to make mistakes as long as one learns from them.

And being able to shrug off the attacks of 9 year old forumtrolls when they finally do catch you making a mistake.
