I don't know who deleted it, I was asleep yesserday afternoon / evening so weren't me. The chances are however that it was removed because, as per usual, certain individuals ended up dragging it down in insult kiddie play hour. Would people prefer it if we just deleted those users instead of deleting threads?

For once it wasn't actually that sort of thread, the harshest insults were 'retard', and all in all it was a pretty interesting thread.

Oh well back to *wij inserts* threads!

Personally, I'd prefer it if the thread was locked. Stops the thread being used as a flame war staging ground, but means that people know what's going on (and probably means fewer "Hey, what happened to thread x" threads)

They come part and parcel. Absolutely no reason to delete a thread because of it. Especially considering the rest of the threads are useless, mindless sex spam.

Maybe it is because the easier thing to do is delete the thread, as opposed to going through X number of posts editing them.

Do you not have a hidden forum for moving contentious threads too if you don't have time to edit?

It just gets very confusing. I'm pretty sure I know why it happened, but even then, sudden thread abduction leaves everyone scratching their heads.

There was a moderators forum for moving threads to. Natrat posted in the HL forum saying that moderators should never delete threads but simply close posts if they are not appropriate. I know it was in a different context, but wouldn't it be easier if that rule applied here?
