DO NOT carry a weapon, anyone who suggests you should is with a moron or plain foolish
If it goes to court you will have a very tough time you werent pre-meditating hurting someone and/or walking around with the intention of causing gbh. This is not self defence, yaruar says it best

If you are carrying a weapon and are prepared to use it you aren't innocent.....

You will be charged if you are caught, innocent or not.

And please please please, if you do get into a scuffel dont hit them in the back if they try to run, if you do it looks like you were chasing them meaning you had intent of causing them damage even tho they are running away. Again you will be taken down the station because it is no longer self defence

Don't forget when using any form of weapon on the whole the UK legal system protects criminals not the innocent so you will be liable to get into lots and lots of trouble for defending yourself.

this is wrong, if you are being mugged you are allowed to use reasonable force to defend yourself unless you fall into the catagories above

My best advice if someone is mugging you, is to yell ALL you can straight into their faces do a 180 and fucking sprint your arse off and don't look back!

If they are not holding a gun or a knife close to you ofc

i was mugged last year.... didnt end very well...

was stupid... it was a long work day... weekend allso... was walking down the street (was close to 1 am in the morning).... then 4 guys come from my back and bush me on the ground... beat me in the face whit theyr feet a few times... take my phone... lil bit of money and my documents (drivers licesne, id card and lots others)

lets say i didnt look good for about 2 weeks after that and.... i just got paid that night, and they didnt get the money... couse i didt put into my wallet for some reason... it was in the other back pocket

no wonder why ppl dont like russians living in estonia.... if they all would leave, crime would drop 10x times here....

sux that i dont have eny pictures of myself... cba to go to police and get the pictures they took of my face

PS: 2 months later they found my documents but not the assholse who did this

Rather than sending Gazillions of £ to countries ruled by dictators who just steal it, the government should do more to put "bobbies" on the street. I cant remember the last time I saw a policeman on foot. Eeeee when I were a lad and shep were a pup, there was always loads of coppers patrolling the streets.

Depends what area you live in mate, there is a policeman on almost every corner of the main areas after 6 in Slough
