Both Discs & Vs are very good in dry but discs have the edge in wet con also better for DH.

don't cars use a form of disk brakes? What i dont understand is why you need that kind of stopping power, whether in the wet or the dry, normal brakes, or V-Brakes will surely work acceptably in the wet, or are we talking ripping down the side of a mountain at a rather fast pace, needing that kind of stopping power
