MSN Login problem

Had problems all day trying to get on MSN

Errors are 81000314 and 80072745, if you have this problem then do this

Goto C:/Windows/System32/Drivers/etc/hosts

Open hosts in notepad and copy these lines at the bottom and save

65.54.239.80 messenger.hotmail.com
65.54.239.80 dp.msnmessenger.akadns.net

Msn should now be working, please note that this is a quick fix and is to be used at your own risk.

Please remove in around 2 days when your original settings should work again.

Nah with that fix it looks like they fucked up their DNS, so those ISP's who had a shorter TTL on their DNS servers would need a quick fix.

I havent been able to get on all day today until just now when i ran the line test and low and behold it connected on the next try.... could be fluke but worth a try.

The line test probably flushes your local DNS cache : ifconfig /flushdns

For some reason no matter which pc im on, My hotmail refuses to run with Live messenger, But the alt accounts i have do.

7.5 works fine and all old version just no idea why it wont work >.<
