Im really confused now.

Star Trek the original was great
Star Trek(with Picard) was Next Generation?
Voyager is the guy from Quantum Leap?

I dont really know how mant spin off they are, I just like the Picard version and love the original lot

Voyager was female captain
Enterprise was bloke from quantum leap (eg. the 1st starship enterprise)
Deep Space 9 is best forgotten...

I loved ds9, well towards the end anyway. The war with the Dominion (? is that who they were, was a long time ago) was really good. It started off slow but ended good.

Voyager ran out of steam, Enterprise is the one best forgotton :)

DS9 was just immense heh - so different from the typical Startrek genre, such great character stories!

So many trekkies :p

So, is it the original Star Trek or Next Generation that really flicks your switches? ;)

Deep Space 9 is the one set on the Cardassian Space Station and the captain is Benjamin Sisko. It details the war against the Dominion of the Gamma Quadrant. The main ship was the wasp like Defiant. (Not my favourite)

Voyager details the crew of the USS Voyager which got send from the Alpha Quadrant to the Delta Quadrant and spent several years trying to return home. The ship was led by Captain Katherine Janeway (later Admiral. Rather enjoyed Voyager)

Enterprise, the less said about the better, but was the prequel series when the Federation was taking its first steps beyond the Solar System. It was led by Captain Jonathon Archer (Scott Bakula from Quantum Leap fame)

Yeah, Yeah, I hvae just really shown my geekdom.

Babylon 5 is the daddy of them all tho, coz they all ganged up and kicked the shit out of the shadows, and then the voorlon when they went mental, 2 supposedly ancient races without equal...

in star trek u always knew they'd win in end really.. not so in Babylon 5.

why is it in sci-fi series, earth is always a major player? why cant we be the new guys learning for a change and getting arses kicked? sounds sadistic, but if anything ever came true.. we would be getting our arses handed to us on a plate for ages.

give more dark sci-fi imo, where we dont always win!

problem with earth losing is the yanks, they love to see them win (and thats where the money is), which is why the have a habit of re-writing history (u571 for example)

I heard rumours that they want Robbie Williams to play Captain Kirk :)

Robbie’s Movie Role

Robbie Williams is being lined up to play Captain Kirk in a new Star Trek film! Director JJ Abrams (the man behind Lost), said he thinks Robbie would be perfect for the role, first made famous by William Shatner: "I think he'd be a good Captain Kirk. The Kirk in my movie is quite young; it's like the early years. But I can't comment on who we are casting just yet. Everyone will just have to wait and see." We’re crossing all our fingers and toes that Robbie impresses the movie bosses at the auditions in LA – if he does, he’ll be joining Leonard Nimoy (the original Spock) in Star Trek on the big screen, which is released December next year. Beam me up, Robbie!

HIYA VULC!!! :)

if robbie williams got role... star trek's credibility would be lower than jade goody's.

they guy is an utter twat. i cant think of a bigger twat than him to play kirk.

maybes john simm would be a better option.

the what now? :D

No matter what people think of him as a person, he's got the charisma and enough acting skills to pull it off.

Even if i thought that leonard nimoy was a twat and an a-hole in real life, he would still be a damn good spock.
