So, im planning to buy myself an Mp3 player. But........but, many of my buds have been complaining about Ipods they bought. Thing is, when they start a song, and put the player in their pocket, the touchpad rubs off (didn´t know what word to use :) ) against the inside of their pockets and sometimes alters the sound / song.

So if anyone have any good experiences with an mp3 player, please share. Its a plus if you can store at least 10 gb.

anything by Creative will see you right. Ive had mine for about 6/7 years (you can tell because its only 256mb :p) its been chucked down stairs, dropped, stepped on, and its only a little bit scratched, still works perfectly. Only complaint is that the headphones werent very high quality, but you can buy some good ones for £10 easily.

edit:

I was about to write a similar thread :p
Need a new mp3 player too.
Portability and the strenght to withstand mild abuse to moderate abuse is key. So even though the ones with a screen designed to show vids would be cool. I Think i would break it. :p

nope, ipods have a moving hard disk inside which breaks quickly compared to Creatives etc.

IPods are just highly marketed.

I would recommend a sony now but i have had i rivers befor they are both better than ipods. Ipods are horrible you need itunes installed on anything some songs you can not pull off the player iriver players use media player for managment. Ipods are basically a fashion accessorie. I use a memory card in my PDA now :)

I got this little mf'er:
b2c_l_ypt6_blk.jpg

Its the height of an AAA battery + 0,5 cm... 512 mb storage is really enough for me since i can just load some other songs.. Can still hold + 100 songs wich is quite enough tbh. Also mine runs around 15-20h on one little AAA battery :> Don't think many ipod's can say that.. and even when it runs dry i can just change battery so im not dependant on a recharger.

Quite solid also. Had mine for 1½ year now and havent broken yet. Good menu system also. Jog up when in directories to select song, jog left/right to switch sub/super dirs.

Interface is mini usb - you get 2 converters. One of them is a cable.

I don't think he wants you to stretch your e-peens through posting pics and how great it is but rather for you to give links/names etc.

I wonder if it will be worth waiting for a zune 30gb plays videos ect also wireless networking i wonder if you could grab files from a net work share. Also expect microsoft to subsidise it so it should be cheap to get it started.

Cowon iAudio... All you'll ever need.
Love it. Perfect sound quality, Perfect computer handling (needs no drivers or programs whatsoever, thus works on Windows, Unix, Linux, OS/*, BSD, anything that supports USB harddrives). And most models play all you can throw at it. (yes, that's also FLAC, OGG etc etc etc)
