me wonders if...

...there's a forum user that has NO mp3's... and i don't mean fresh formatters etc....

and kinda on that note... does anyone recommend that new Rio DAP... the one with the hard disk.. not solid state....

I only keep stuff I really like, and invariably I go and buy the album if it's good anyway, then delete the mp3's.

A lot of me mp3's have been burnt to 20 odd CD's as I simply got the HD space for em. lol... so at least 650meg x at least 20 CD's = At least 13 gig on CD

On HD: 4 gig of em

I probably have more than 25 gig but fuck knows, they're all over the place.

Plus hundreds of Audio CD's from back in ze day :)

i think dedicated HD storage for HiFi's is the way to go though.... some sort of server interface too, let you serve your music to anywhere in the house....

anyone seen any products that do this?

I have a couple of gig now of MP3s, trying to get all the good ones at 192 but all the ones I make myself are at Variable bit rate, found that those sound better in the car :) I wub my pioneer MP3 player with its dolphins and racing cars... :)

i had a beloved collection of rare mp3s which took mes ages to get must of been in the late 200 mark, and i watched a vbs virus turn every single one into a 3 k file and dleted the original, *sniff* still brings a tear to my eye now.
