Hate him, or hate him, (everyone says they do, despite 8million listeners...) He's been on air now for 15 hours+ and is aiming for 50. It's quite interesting to watch on the red button at the moment, and should only get more interesting as time goes on.

I remember Mayo doing similar, but he literally seemed to sit in a corner shouting out name and artist for each song. Moyles is still standing up, bossing each show and driving the desk. Good on him, this should raise a decent sum.

Don't like the bloke but fair play to him, won't be easy lasting the course but it worth it to raise the cash.

I do like him, and have always said so. I listened all day yesterday and watched a bit on the red button last night

It going to interesting when he gets to the end of today to see how much longer he can go on for, but he has raised £330,000 in 24 Hours, love him or hate him, that has got to be applauded

hmf - thought he was gonna be running a marathon. That would be impressive. Shouting for 50 hours is too easy for that fat bastard :/

Used to listen to his show, but got bored of the constant mention of their listener figures and trawling the streets to try and find new ones. It was boring listening to him constantly talking about himself as well :p

Was strange watching it last night with Jimmy Carr and Vernon Kay. Chris Moyles is the only thing I tend to listen to on Radio 1 when I am flicking through stations in the morning, hes the best of the worst.

Early morning radio is why I'm climbing the walls to get my car kit installed. iPod for the win!

I just flicked on the iPlayer stream for 5 mins to see what's going and he's over 32 hours in and still lucid. Not only that, he's still on his feet, still engaging with his guests and still a twonk. :)

They also had a 10% jump in takings by threatening to get Greg James naked if the total went over £620,000. It went up to £640,000 so he's going to be getting naked on camera. If that's your sort of thing.

I kind of like him. For me the problem is if you listen too often or if the other members of the team aren't involved. Comedy Dave is brilliant. If its just Chris ranting, it gets quite tiresome.

Also, well done to him and the team.

Im surprised at you for this comment Wij.:(

Don't see you raising 1 million.
He maybe chubby and sometimes annoying -but he's doing something good, which isn't easy, that he doesn't have to do.
Good on them all -thats 1 million more for comic relief.

Agreed. Just sent a txt to donate my quid. Am enjoying watching the live video stream and I can relate to the pain he is going thru. It is not easy staying awake for that long, trust me, I've been there.

Hats off to Moyles and the BBC.

What a fucking stupid comment. Does Wij have an established audience base of reportedly over 8 million people? How do you suppose a internet nerd with kids raise a million exactly? Get off your high horse.

Yes, he's doing something to raise money and that's good, but as Wij says - he's not raising money by doing anything difficult, all he's doing is being his prickish self, but for longer than normal.

I dunno merely staying awake for 52 hours is hard enough, i done it loads in my youth but not as easy now. Then add to the fact he has to talk constantly in that time, after 20 hours none stop their throats will start to be in alot of pain. Ever tried to sing along to a whole Bon Jovi album?

By 48 hours they will be knackered and want to give up

Its an endurance race, it may not have been the same type of endurance as a marathon but its in no way easy

I'm sure it's really hard sitting in a warm studio, being brought food and drink constantly and generally not having to do anything other than talk shit.

I really feel for him, he must be sufferring deeply for this cause.

Sleep depravation will start to kick in and he still has to be professional and keep it together. From my own experiences of being awake that long and still having to do a job i say well done to him

The only thing this thread really confirms is that there are some gruntfuttocks who will piss on anyone trying to do something positive.

"gruntfuttocks" the next word that I need to slip into every day conversation!

I can't stand him but hats off to him for doing it and raising money for charity.

Didn't listen to any of it but donated £5 via text.
