I'm sure you had lotsa fun and that the movie is all nice and stuff, not giving you any particular crisism here, but the fact that there is a friggin gazillion gank movies out there makes this extremely boring (or even old news). It lacks the originality that makes it unique from every other movie.

Well my point is, all the movies now days only show a leet guild ganking the arse outa some other peeps and it's not really interesting any more, no matter what kind of hyper view and edit skills you got - since we've pretty much seen it all during 3 years of Daoc.

I've seen all Daoc movies posted on prydwen forums, and most of all the other famous ones, and this one doesn't make me feel "wow this was good stuff", sorry.

Thanks all for the comments, positive or negative alike! I have put in quite a lot of time editing the movie and done my outmost to make it as original as possible, so I don't really see the point of Sko's complaint. Granted, it is a gank movie, but we also wanted to make it a little more than that, and thus added the "sideplot" of this being a final goodbye of the Old Frontiers. Oh, and yes, the AD movie has dual-POV (and so does the 2H Savage movie posted here recently), but so does my old SS-vs-FoM fight from pre-TOA; I am not claiming this movie to be the first at anything, only that we have done our outmost to make it entertaining to watch.

Again, more comments (and mirrors!) are always welcome, this is my reward after a weekend of toil.

And the multi-pov was just great, seeing from support, tank and caster at once!

The switching between PoV's is a cool feature, too. It adds flavour to a movie and is something very different from the usual single PoV gankgankgank for 30 minutes of boredom most RvR movies feature.

The constant splitting of the PoV's in the end was a tad overdone, though, as already mentioned.

But great stuff! Job well done, Belomar \o/

nice editing, fights were not the the most amazing, but there were some good ones vs high rr's and such ;-D

omw home from school today i thought about frapping a movie and mapping where the fights took place... you stole my idea tbh! (was before i saw it ;p)

nice with the pov's on same time, i liked that alot. And givf more from shaman pov, coolest class to watch it from tbh (and damn i've always loved the male troll shamans, such a cool mixture of race and class tbh \o/)

- Only bad thing I could find was that when u swapped cameras u did it to fast sometimes - So u missed alot of what happend since u had to screen through them very fast ( and no i couldnt only watch at ONE when i had 3 to choose from )

Short answer: It was the only fight from which I had 3 POVs.

Slightly longer answer: It's a cool fight (what with the 1-2 FGs of adds from ATK at the end), and it is hardly our fault if that semi-AoD group leaves ATK res sick? I chose that footage for its intensity, making it a good fit as a final fight in the movie.

Nice to see this much response to the movie....both good and bad...

As the movie states, this is first of all a tribute to the old frontiers, and half the movie was shot before all of us were 100% certain of how to play our characters.

I know we cant pwn PE everytime, in fact we are very thrilled if we even die with dignity, however they are twice our RR, and have played together for much much longer then us. So this isnt a "we wtfpwn you all to bits" video, but as the fights show, most of the enemies featured in this movie are higher RR then ourselves.

The fights are not the point in the movie really, it's there to show how a lowbie group went from getting slapped 90% of encounters per night, to now loosing to maybe 1 or 2 good GG's out there. And what you _should_ be noticing in the movie, is simply Baldy's superb editing, and the way we devide the frontiers, and try to show different fight scenarios, which we all remember and will miss with New Frontiers

Thanks to all who took the time to download it and watch it, and thanks for you overall very very nice response to it.....

Excellent Editing There, First Rate.

The Multi PoV isnt new btw, has been done lots. Soursi-Multi Movie springs to mind. That was all 3 realms even with some Pre-nerf Zerker footage !. The Battle Map Idea is Nice. As for people complaining about the camera switching. I liked that, thats totally original and wasnt to complicated as he was clever enough to cut away most of them when 1 of the screens the person was grappled / oop / mezzed etc.

Some of the Music has been used in Daoc movies before thou . The Start was used in a War legendz Movie and the 2nd Song was also previous used. Err I can get the name of the movie if somebody doubts .

As for how you guys played with each other. Nicely done guys, amazing you are all such low RR. That wont be so for long, you play very well and very well against more opted groups im sure. Belo healer pov is boring btw . I also saw you snuck george in a camo role for flick xD.
