I tried to order an everglide mousemat this morning due to the fact ntl won't let me anywhere near theoverclockingstore.co.uk, but it refused my card anyway.

Ratpadz sound good, I might just buy both tbh. Once NTL sort their cunts out.

The only real difference between the Everglide and the Ratpad is the angle of the cutaway. Its down to personal preference.

Will, do Ratpadz not have that cut out bit at the bottom?

They have suckers on the Bottom

*counts*

They have 8 suckers, but on mine, 3 have fallen off, but its still as sturdy as a rock on my table

Yeah, Ratpadz have a large shallow cutaway, while Everglide have a tiny wrist-sized cutaway.

I've got a sUrface1030 from func industries - much prefer it to the Everglide pads which I find far too thick. And the sUrface came in a metal tin \o/ - only problem is that the main surface bit doesn't stay stuck in the rubber gripping thing very well but it hardly matters.

Halfords have some thin rubber matting stuff that will sit in between the desk and pad to stop it moving.
Its normally sold to stop stuff rattling around in the car, or for holding workshop projects.
Worth a go if you have mousepad instability problems :)

saw an everglide mousemat for sale in GAME once, had nice little Q3 symbol on it, was priced around 24 quid and was in the shop for a few months before it was sold. Was speaking for manageress of the shop and she said that they'd only had four or so delivered, went on to rave about them for a bit but there was none left in stock. Jurys still out on that one. Haven't heard of this ratpad before though, personally i prefer a nice thick soft mousemat, my current one works fine with my Microsoft optical scrollwheel mouse so I dont see the point in forking out for one. I would use the desk surface but the edge is too rough and agitates the bottom of my wrist.

I've just bought a everglide optical giganta smoke pad from their shop.

I'd recommend it to anyone, it noisy moving across the huge area, but it makes the mouse feel so light, it's worth it.

being a smoker, and a dope smoker, spending more than £3 on a mouse matt which is just gonna get burnt to shit in days is a tad pointless.

atm i go through a mouse matt + kb a month but it only costs me about £10 to replace 'em both. any matt does me as long as it isnt laminated and it is one colour (stops that ever so amusing 'spinning around staring at floor/roof' problem)

oh, and i find a daily 'tip-out' if my kb does wonders (even smoking it when im, erm, desperate)

/me tries to remember to post pic of old kb / current matt

My Ratpad is bomber-proof.

MS Natural Keyboard isn't, but it still works, so I can't complain.

I'm still using the TOCA 2 mousepad I got free with a game about 5 years ago. It's got stuff encrusted on it and could probably get the entire uni high for a fortnight but it's cheaper than buying a new one.
