Inverted or the unnatural way?

Personally I set it to inverted and cannot see how you can play any other way

I only know of one other person who has it the inverted way like you Zap and he's a big cabbage(Deej{KEA}), natural way, naturally.

I used to play games with Mouse Inverted (Quakeworld, Q2, Half-life, Q3a, UT) then i slowly got fed up having to change it in every game so i went back to normal..

except when I play in QW, for some reason inverted just sticks with me then :eek:

More importantly

forward = up arrow OR mouse 2?

alot of people *cough* tremor, think that inverted is just for wierdos, i use inverted mouse and always have!

The only reason i'm using it is because i started playing CS and quake etc round a friends house who had inverted mouse on! tbh it doesn't matter what way u use just as long as u play the best of your abilities with it

Inverted is for flight sims, normal for everything else.

Games with planes and infantry need a changeover option, or I get very confused.

The natural way is INVERTED, let me explain..

As you tilt you head forwards, your line of sight drops, lean back and it raises.
hold you mouse ingame and rock back and forth moving your mouse with your body.
Inverted aer teh winn0r!!

Inverted mouse, always, and definately up arrow for go forward etc.
I play games with my left hand on the mouse , so its natural that way. All this walk forward using "W" is wierd to me :)

Well, I play with the numeric keypad for most FPS games. Not really sure why any more, I think it's Wolf3d's fault.

I use right mouse for forward and up arrow for jump.

No no no, right mouse is jump, since 1.4 at least. I've found I need better timing with it than I used to.

Right mouse is for jump since Quake 1 !! Right mouse for forward Tremor ? Omg ! :)

inverted, up/down arrows forward/back, left/right arrows strafe, 2nd mouse button jump, space bar use, and i use the small group of keys above the arrows for reloading and selecting weapons.

I use 2nd mouse for crouch....mostly I instinctively crouch myself into getting shot in the head though :(
I'm left handed but I've always used my right when using the mouse and pretty much halflife settings...which personally I think are the best ...for the rest of cs
I recently started using last weapon used set as Q(just used mousewheel before) and that has saved valuable milliseconds

w=forward
s=back
a=strafe left
d=strafe right

mouse is inverted
left mouse=fire
right mouse=jump
middle button=zoom
scroll wheel=weapon select

q=usually a bound text bit that insults sg in one way or another ;)

Inverted aer teh winn0r!!

If u want to look up u move the mouse up the mat, if u want to look down u pull the mouse backwards.

are you 'inverted mouse' people having a laugh or talking about flight sims? ya fucking wierdos !!

(all that coming from a south paw, wtf eh)

I am the default masta!

Cept i'm reconsidering mouse 2 as my secondary fire as I put my silencer on mid fire fight for the last f00kin time!

oh and natural.

I understand inverted its just a bit ...odd

anyway you cant compare to real life as when I look up to the sky I dont pull my hand backwards :)

Agree with sucky on this one :p

and i would never use arrow keys for moving, as some keyboards lock up when more than one is pressed.

get ye teh wsad config, and u can even bind q to h4x-on and e to h4x-off - without sounding too much like Mr Miyagi (sp)

Come to think about it having inverted mouse would be an advantage (sort of) as you aim high up the body...move the mouse forward whilst firing the bullets, you strafe the chest....but uninverted moving the mouse up (which is easier needng less effort) and firing you might get 1 hit and will need to re aim
It's all milliseconds anyway :)
Oh and it must be easier to counteract recoil "he says without actually ever tried"
I had to get a new keyboard because the w and s were sticking. Have you ever opened a keyboard up to have a look inside....its great, you get a piece of flexi plastic with the circuit stuff printed on it (very modern art), lots of little bouncy rubber things and a very large rattle (the actual part with the keys still on)....all these fun toys and for less than a tenner

Inverted is the only way to play,
Using WSAD instead of arrows is ghay,
Right mouse for secondary fire,
Middle one for reload ('r' is dire),
0 is jump - R CTRL is crouch,
1 for use and L Shift for walking - I'll vouch,
Is the best setup of kets for FPF GAMES!!!

...yes I do have far too much time on my hands :clap:
