Right. I am back from my holiday from the net. And a few things have occured to me since I've been away. Deep things. But I cant be fucked with them right now so I shall have a good old cunt.

Xavier and SuperFM. Shut the fuck up. CS and UT are both excellent games. Thx,

ED209. Fuck off. Newbie Rancid fanny jam stain.

As far as mousemats go, fuck knows tbh. I've never been anal enough about games to wonder whether my mouse pad is affecting gameplay or not. A decent player can play with anything etc etc. The mousemat Im using came free with a copy of Worms Armageddon iirc. Spending any more means at least three less pints of guiness down the union on friday night. Which would you choose? :)

Anyway, all that is left to do know is ritually call TUG a homosexual (TUG, you're a homosexual :) ) and retire off to bed.

Mouses and Mouse pads are down to personal taste really. I've bought a 3M pad and an Everglide, and gone through an Intellimouse Explorer (phat silver one), a Logitech Mouseman +, an Intellimouse Pro, and a Logitech Wingman, all in the past few months, and still haven't found a comfortable solution. You should try developing RSI: you'll quickly realise that getting mad rail skillz are secondary to being able to use your puter without crippling yourself (eg Everglides are terrible in this respect because they have quite a high "shelf" which twists your wrist).

From personal experience, the best mousemat is the back of an A4 pad. Everglides are far too slippy. 3Ms are far too small and grippy (you end up dragging the pad with you). My desk (beechwood) would be ideal, but it's ever so slightly concave in my mouse area. For mouses, Microsoft designs are actually horrendous, ergonomically (Explorer must have been designed for John Merrick). And a mousewheel will cause you really bad damage if you're susceptible to RSI (although I guess not too bad if you've not had it before). The Wingman is a pretty comfy little mouse, and responsive. The Mouseman + would be excellent, but the wheel on it is terrible. Still not found anything as good as my old shape Logi Pilot.

Enough, lunch time

ps: people who are crap at CS often don't like it :)
