Mouse Pointer problem

Hello, I got a problem that startet just recently, my mouse pointer freezes.
Well, when i say it freezez i mean the pointer you see stops moving, you can still use it, though its rather hard to target an enemy when you cant see the pointer. It`s not just in DAoC, its in windows aswell, seems to happen randomly within 30minutes of my last restart.

Tryed to rollback driver, no use =(

I use a Intelli Explorer 3.0 USB mouse

Im sure a good ol format c: would to the trick, but i want to try and fix it first


Pc spec,

2.8GHZ pentium HT
726? DDR ram
Shuttle mainboard
160gig 7200rpm HD ( two partitions ) daoc and windows are not one the same one
GF ti4200 AGP8X

Any suggestions would be appriciated.

Have exactly the same problem as you, have tried 3 diff mice and the same problem occur after awhile . Have to poweroff computer to get it running again, works fine in other applications such as Explorer or quake 4 etc...

This sounds pretty similar to your problem. Have you tried using an earlier version of your graphics drivers?

actually, ive just installed a newer one =) same problem still, though,, after it frooze this time, i tryed to wait it out, and, after 10-15 minutes of waiting or "unfrooze". I quit daoc, and now it works fine. Guess it`s coming back to haunt me when i start daoc again.

I had same problem a while back, though only happenned occasionally after i quit. Do you play full screen?

Problem Solved

Hi again everyone !

It was the Nvidia GFX driver that caused the problem rolled back to 77.76 drivers and worked fine 3 Hours straight yesterday.

Hm, no i play with both open, on top of each other. Nordanstahl, lol i reinstalled the newest driver`s, NVIAIDA one`s, and now it seems to work just fine =)
