mouse "lag?"

ok.. I've got a slight problem with my mouse in cs.
My mouse is an inteli-USB running under winXP.

I have a slight "lag" feeling when I move around in cs.. it's as if the game takes a minimal time to respond to my mouse movements... but I can still feel it and it's kinda annoying ;/

I tried playing with m_yaw, m_filter and sensitivity.. and even though the movement might get kinda sharper.. there still is that lag feeling :/

I don't get this in any other FPP games (q2/q3)..

any ideas?

thx

have u installed the proper mouse drivers?

Sometimes they can screw it up. Try uninstalling them.

Also, if you dont have them installed, try installing them.

Mice either work best with or without proper drivers. Dont ask why, its just one of the *sigh* many bugs in windows.

I had a similar problem with CS and Xp, turn sensitivity right up and mess with your gfx card settings and up your framerate in CS console, the framerate is the one that improved it the most for me.

I used to get a problem in Q2 with 'juddering' where there seemed tp be some lag / blurring.

If your mouse driver allows you could try turning up the sampling rate to the max. If not there is a utility some guy wrote called PS2Rate that can do this (does warn you about your mouse exploding or sumfing but mine's been ok).

U guys are dumb none of that stuff works. It's up to MS or CS to fix this problem....

Hmm, forgive me for reading this, but, is this not a forum where you post to ask questions/answers, and this guy had a problem and had it answered in the best way possible, i dont believe you calling them dumb actually solves the problem either?

Tried plugging it into the PS2 port? Mice generally work best with PS2 imo. I have an MS Intellimouse Explorer, and i use the PS2 adapter, mainly because i'm not sure wether there's an X driver for the USB input.
