Hi,

A week or so ago my Logitech G& started acting up. It would double click when I was only clicking once. It was instantaneous and happened whatever the app. I put it down to a fault or a bit of dirt in the contacts or summat, and started using another mouse I had lying around. all was well until today when the second mouse started doing exactly the same thing.

It is only happening on left click, and is intermittent but happening about 25-50% of times that I click. It is hugely annoying.

I have tried looking at mouse properties in the control panel but it has nothing to do with the double click speed setting.

I am a bit lost, I have never had a problem like it before, and to get it in 2 mice within a week is just too much of a coincidence, which suggests that it is a PC problem, but what could it be?

Any help gratefully received, I am getting very frustrated and have work to do that is proving very difficult.

Do you find you ring doorbells twice instead of once, and spend double the time picking your nose to usual? This could be a form of One Finger Willy syndrome :p

Thanks for all the helpful comments...oh wait :)

Malecheon, the G7 is wireless, but the other one is a wired mouse. Also the G7 does it at any time, bot just when the batteries low.

A reboot does seem to temporarily solve the problem.

Using the Setpoint software? If so, uninstall and just use the windows drivers, see if that helps

Yeah I am using setpoint, it could be that. If I remove it I'll lose the variable sensitivities though, which would be a shame.

Perhaps I'll reinstall the software and see if that makes a difference.

Thanks Kryt :)
