Funny how all the arse fans suddenly spring from nowhere, when Henry was sold they were claiming Arse are finished, sack Wenger.

Fickle nubs, just like Spurs fans.

Spurs fans are great. Boo the fuck out of their team then back Jol 100%.

Outspent only by Mourinho and he hasn't won a thing :D

lol seriously wtf, don't think I've ever said sack wenger or arsenal being finished cos we sold one player. Wenger best thing that has happened to arsenal, think the fans all 100% trust him with his decisions and if they don't they're probably just the glory kids.

They looked to play patient football. They passed the ball well, but with the players they had, you would expect that. I hardly ever saw them playing longball, prefering to go through midfield at all times.

"Patient football" made me laugh... :p

With Capello dont expect offensive football, nor beautiful play. Their teams are well known for using 2 defensive midfielders (Diarra+Emerson e.g), quite offensive left/right back (Ramos+R.Carlos) and false wingers (Robinho+Reyes) feeding a killer 9 (V.Nistelrooy or Drogba in this case)

Playstyle was dull n boring, I left the stadium before the end of the matchs at least 3 times during the season (except the last final stage were the team replaced the lack of good football with amazing performances of bravery), but 3 things u have assured with Fabio:

1. At least one trophy per season
2. Amazing physical perfomance, his teams make it to the end of the season at 100% endurance (Madrid won their last matchs from minutes 75 to 90, including reversing adverse scores).
3. GUTS GUTS GUTS!! If a player is not 100% implicated with the team he gets shacked (Ronaldo and Cassano e.g).

IMO Capelo would fit very good in Chelski. I for one would fear an encounter with them on CL final rounds.

A massive massive loss to the english game. Mourinho was a great charecter and i loved the way he conducted himself. He was arrogant yes, but he has a right to be he is the best manager in the game and if you disagree with that your probabaly a united subscriber. His ability as a manager is undeniable and he is still the best manager around now, Abramovic's constant interfering seemed to have unsettled him and the team. I'd rather see him at a club, even if its not an english club than manage an international side as he is rumoured for the portugal job but thats nothing but rumours at the moment.

Sorry but he isnt not the greatest manager around, he is only young and i have no doubt he will be pushing to be the greatest, but there are alot of other around that have been there and done it all constantly for more than 2 years.

Wenger, Ferguson, Cappello, Lippi are all above him.

How many of those delivered 13 trophies in a 4/5 year period?. Or you could look at it as within their first 7 years of managing.

Genuine question, i don't know about those you mentioned.

people keep saying "oh noes united have to face a fired up chelsea now"

but i dont figure that, whats going to happen if united go in 2-0 at half time, theres no jose to rile them up and really get mad

alot of players that have left chelsea have criticised him, saying he applies too much pressure to every one of them and almost dictates how they live their lives to perform optimally- which works in football

if they lose this ethic it could all fall apart at the seems, we'v seen that frank CAN flop, and he's been the driving force for the last few years

drogba- well hes injured atm as is terry iirc? the points they drop not having them 2 can effectively put them out of the prem race if we look at the gaps over last 2 seasons between top2

onto arsenal

theyre beginning to come together, last few games have been reminiscent of the unbeaten run from a few years back, that last goal against sevilla was sheer class movement and passing wise, and van persies comments basically summed it up

its a case of whether they can keep this up, and thats not a question of wenger, hes the best manager in the premiership imo (o and kolo cost 2.5m iirc but still a mega bargain, hes a solid solid CB) and the greatest manager we'v seen over the last 10 years, but the players ARE young and can they keep that kind of form up indefinitely?

i think this is good for the prem, mourihno has been fairly stale recently imo, the press have got bored with him and hes turned fairly average in terms of character, nor have chelsea been overly special- seem to be suffering from same syndrome as man u in that controlling a game is no probs but finding the net is proving effort (that kalou goal was lol)

this departure spices things up, united arent firing on all cylinders, chelsea have to re mould the team, liverpool look fairly dangerous when gerrard plays and arsenal are definitely back in the frame- all we need now is spurs to come good on what theyv spent and we have 5 vying for a fairly open premiership, better than united vs xxx every year (united fan here as well)

watch out for newcastle over next couple of years as well, big sam managed what 5th @ bolton- deserves a very large diamond medal for that imo, if he can turn newcastle into a team that doesnt concede 70 a season then they have the firepower to do well and he has cash behind now also

and united have spent more than 60m, but lets be fair, the bulk has been on 2 players that are 19 and 21, lets get back to them in 5 yrs time after theyv won a few "world player of the year awards" as its bound to happen, still waiting for anderson to pull off that flick thing iv seen on youtube like 1000x

Terry's fine - Carvalho is out with a knee problem at the moment. Central defence is looking fine with JT and Alex. Aside from the odd howling set piece.

whose your attacking force atm? shev kalou pizzaro?

i shook my head when you sold robben, hes one player that id fear being up against being lightning quick and ability to score from just about anywhere, thought he was a real asset, young as well :X

that madrid manager looks to be signing the right kind of player thou, saw a bit of drenthe in the youth cup and he looks sound, and sneijders pretty classy as well

who'd you wanna see manage chelski now special ones gone then?

I wanna see Abramovich swallow his pride and realise he's made the worst personal and business decision of his time.

However that won't happen.

For me results and success i can deal with even if it involves ugly, 'boring' football. Capello or Lippi would do it for me. Even Vialli or Zola for old times sake. But i think in reality it'll be Hiddink that comes in.

I really don't understand supporters like you, do you support the team just for 'bragging rights' when you do well? Im not having a go at you genuinely interested.

Why be a supporter if it is not for hoping for your team to win? Then you would just be a football supporter in general. And that I think we all are. Ofc we enjoy well played games the most. But number1 is for your team to win and beat your rivals. The hole point of sport.

From my point of view ofc.

When you want your team to win, would you rather win or lose?. I like to win, i like sucess. I like tangeable/intangeable rewards.

I'd rather win ugly than lose beautifully.

You seem to forget that the Champions League has started now. Rafa did what he always does and puts his shit teams out the match before. You guys were awful at Fratton Park and it's gonna be the same every weekend before CL games. You'll start losing games and dropping points left right and centre.

Everyone's writing off Chelsea before we've even played our next game.

I'll happily eat my words on sunday but to say we're well out of it already is far from sensible.

I started watching Arsenal towards the end of the Graham era and i did not like our football then Arsenal was a family team so i followed them. Then Wenger turned up and its like a whole new team and i love watching them. During the Graham years i used to go to a few games here and there but since Wenger showed up i have had a season ticket and honestly have to say i would still watch Arsenal but i would not pay nearly a grand a year to go watch boring wins. I think great football is better than a dull boring win but maybe thats just me.

I am going to be the new manager, I have won the premier league about 50 times, won the champions league almost every year and know all the uber brazilian/argentinian youngster's.

I was watching the Arsenal Game Wednesday and Nevas was playing i was ranting and raving about him and every one asked how i knew about him. Then i remembered he scored about 25 goals for Arsenal in my Fifa Manager game and shut up pretty sharpish.
