Well I got something that all mothers love a box of chocolates(quality street) and a card, never fails.

Yes but Tescos is only a 1min drive from home, and the next nearest card place will be town and I'll be dead before I bother going in there.

Actually mothers day came about sometime in the mid nineteenth century.

Its the Sunday halfway through lent, when children off the lower classes went off to work, sometimes for weeks on end, and for one Sunday during the lent period they were given it off as a holiday to visit their families, and in particular pay respects to their mothers.
