I think some dont run friars simply because they are used to getting DD'd for 600~

I think friars rock though and if i could be bothered to XP mine then im sure id like to play him aswell :D

no cold resists? get a friar in that group (ST3). without cold resist, you get 2-3 shotted when you fight midgroups with dark SM's and RM's like we do.

Empty mind + sob 2 + DI = I'm alright jack. Not saying it aint bloody useful having cold resists, but there are alternatives. Besides, I've got to fit my self in the group some how :D

well i don't think 2 demezzers is really _needed_, agreed its nice but you also sacrafice a lot for it. if people spread out properly and use ceremonial charge i don't think its a problem really. purge1 is fine to use if your demezzer isn't free

btw fun setup is like:

heal
heal
heal
sham
bl zerk
soj skald

Depending on your class a banespiked zerk/bm/merc can do that too. Consistently and on alot faster speed then a polearmsman.

If you're in lower then chain AF you dont even need banespike I would guess :/

Tanks are powerful indeed, but we're running with only 2 tanks and we seem to be handling. (cleric, cleric, theurg, sp. cabby, mind sorc, friar, bl. merc, bl. merc)

I think alot of different setups work and that having an edge depends atleast as much on the people playing than on what their are playing.

Cleric // 40 enhance 36 rejuv, Perfector ML8+
Cleric // 40(41) rejuv rest enhance, Perfector ML8+
Sorcerer // 44 Mind rest body
Friar // All resists Red(including matter) 15+ rejuv, ML8+ Battlemaster
Reaver // TWF3, ML10 Banelord
Merc // ML10 Banelord
Cabalist // Split spec for 30% debuff, desease and decent ns
Theurgist // Pets+air spec nuke

Is currently my favorite. Sucky ass paladin end chant..... *grumbles*
End buff for friars!!!!

:p

bahh in that case guess i'll need to respec Gamb , atm only have 7 rej , but i still heal very well =)

Well this is our Bokkerijders GG Calo

Although we prefer to run without the skald, it is easy to understand u put him there :D
Being the skald u are couldn't do without eh ?

But to be serious again the skald spot is interchangeable with a Warrior BG-er (my main), a BD or just about anything that's usefull in doing damage or interupt.

Most important is 3 healers tho.

Well, since you mix alb, hib and mid setups in one thread,
I'll mention PvP setup :D

The percentage of ML6(8) light tanks on Mordred/Camlann is much less than on regular servers.
Caster-heavy groups are very viable there.

For example:
bard,
healer(m/p),
cleric,
shammy,
reaver / champ,
3 casters with lifedrain ( sorc, cabby, arb animist, dark SM, BD ).

THere's quite a lot of good setups these days, but I think that you could play with a full tank group these days.

It was inpossible back in the start of toa since almost all tanks went Battlemaster(and were grapplebots), but now that there is only a few grapplers in each group a full tank group in mid would work if there would be some good zephyring :p

Would be fun to try 3 zerks + warr

Uhm yes :p Without sounding to much of an arrogant prick, I believe we're nothing less than VP,VR or Defiance. Groove is a tad tougher than these 3 guilds, but we always give them a good fights as well.

you noobs got it all wrong, havent you learned anything yet.

this is the best setup imo

bard(needs to be uber like me)
druid
druid
warden
hero
bm
champ(bm works also but less utility then)
mana eld(chanter work also but less utility then)

or this setup but i find the top one better

bard
druid
druid
warden
light menta/eld mana or light both work
mana chanter
bm(or a champ)
hero

ps.all you gimpy light eld's respec back to mana! :m00:

In dungeons with sheep-able mobs we try to run with 2 mages most of the time in addition to one priest, a warrior and a shaman.
