Why do so many people seem to post on the forums about being added to a fight. I understand the people who want to have solo fights, but you must also respect other peoples playing styles.

You are not the only reason the BG's were created, so please when you go out looking for your solo fights stop stressing the people that wanna play together as a team, or even help out there realm bud's.

Its getting to a stage where every day some whining little brat will have to make a post about going against the grain of the game.

This game isnt about soloing, you should look at 1 vs 1's as a rarity in the game and not the sole purpose of the BG's, it never has and never will be the purpose of the BG's.

So to conclude its not the one that adds that has the lame tactics, neither is it the one that took advantage of a situation, the lame ones are the ones that moan, when the game doesnt agree with them due to them going against the grain.

This game never has been and never will be for solo duels, so please before you post about being added to maybe the game was designed that way. Maybe just maybe this is a MMORPG, but than again from some of the posts i could be wrong, anyone wanna clarify to me if this a MMORPG or not ??

On an ending note i'm not saying that you shouldnt have fun in your search for solo fights, just remember if you do your going against the grain of the game and if anyones in the wrong its you and not the group that just ganked you.

Tbh, the only time I might complain is when I have a good fight vs 1 or more opponents and ppl from my own realm steamrolls them(annoying but not worth profanities since people play how they want). Getting zerged by enemies as a soloer is expected so nothing new there. i dont disagree with you, but people also pay to play a team game why does that warrent them to be called all sorts of names that wouldnt screen before 9pm.

i'm not pointing at you in these posts, but the 100posts about (realm name) zerging baskets. i've said many times in this post its about having fun, so why does the fun of this soloer outwiegh the fun of the zerg, so it seems in a few posts ?

i like the play of the hib guild grp there is running in Thid they dont add on 1vs1 fights and they almost only going in to fights with grps and such.

but many peeps who are running in 3 or 4 peeps grps also shouting at you if you dont help em... so there are so many different ways to enjoy the game

i prefer that if you are in a grp then you help the grp but ill never add
on a 1vs1 fight and know there is a lot of hibs and mids there are doing the same they also loves the 1vs1 fights there are when most peeps there are zerging are logged out..

Well when I run around in groups more than 1, I must admid I kill anyone, solo or otherwise. Except if I know its Known Soloers/Duelists.

Why? Because all too often it is NOT a honorable soloer and then next fight you have he adds from behind.

Also it is RvR. if you only want Duels, roll on Camlann. If you dont want to. expect to be killed on sight.

Remember if you solo, its YOU that dont wanna do what the server was made for(killing any enemy in sight) and dont wanna roll on the PvP server. So hope for Duels, but dont complaim when you dont get it as you want it.

i can take people adding once or twice. what irritates me is the ones i see maybe add fifteen times in one night on good 1v1s. imo they should get some skills and have some 1v1s. and if you add on our guildgroup, dont come here whining about being steamrolled for the rest of the week

I think you will find that the TRUE BG1 soloers rarely (if ever) makes threads about being zerged.
But i certainly dont put myself above calling people steamrolling soloers for retards. Because thats what i think they are.. simple as that. The game is RvR; Realm vs Realm. But that still doesn't change the fact that I think that chain ganking soloers is the most retarded thing. And like i have to accept that some people dont like fair fights. YOU have to accept that not all find zerging to be fun. And it's their godgiven right to whine about it when little Johnny and his 5 online friends decides to "pawnzor" soloers. As long as they dont point out the realm. since both Alb/Mid/Hib are horrible zergers and gankers. The game isn't about fg vs fg either. the "grain" as you call it would actually be 300 vs 300 vs 300 people. smashing eachothers faces in a lag fest. We who enjoy good fights 1on1 will continue to do so even if you think it's against the true intentions of the game.

If you like ganking so much go do it in Big Boi RvR where you might actually get 100 rp's for your trouble. Not just the satisfaction of outnumbering defenceless people.

Some people though are newbies (i dont mean that in any bad way at all) They simply dont know better than "Look enemy, Kill!" And even though it's annoying you can't blame them. The above was meant for the people who twink their chars and buff them up and still just gank soloers since their group is able to. All of you people! Look at Thid Blitz and copy, leaving the "real" soloers alone wont come back to bite you in the ass.

This is Thidranki I assume you are speaking of. The reason people whine and post on forums about "adds" is because the majority of people who play Thid have been playing DAoC for a long time and are not "newbs", therefore they find it hard (at least I do) to understand the fun in spoiling perfectly fun fights by adding and completely ournumbering the opposition all for 1 rp :<. Personally I am not a big fan of a 1v1 it is somewhat boring to me, but I can fully understand people whinging about "adds", many times when TB run around we get "added" on and ofc I sometimes vent my frustration on vent . There is a slight difference when we get added on tho as opposed to soloers, and that is we run as a team who play together a fair amount and so might have a chance to come out of it alive, in which case that can be a lot of the fun and challenge .

Tbh there is some ppl that just know who's who out there... ive sat on HB with Blokkie and just typed talk for about a hour and not been gank by any hibs but had some fun duels...

Then you get RPlayer's or New Members of the thid community that are all about..... Set the Seen!! Two Mids at at the end of the HB talking about how to make the world better (How GoldFish are the way Foward)

THEN---- out of the darkness a full group see us sat there helpless to a large attack and sat not knowing wat is about to happen.... as we are sat there muttering stuff all we hear is ***For Arthur*** and the Sound of Thundering Feet (choo choo)

My good Fellow Dwarf and i sits there and keep talking about the sky... the Next Sec We feel very sleepy (Mezz) and unable to move (Stun) and in a lot of pain (Nukes And Pointy things) as we lie down with are face's in the Grass we think ???Damit it we are going to have to walk all the way back to the bridge and sit down again!!!

Moral of the Story is I am happy to give free RP's so long as they hurry up and leave Thid...

To have grp running about its the way of the game its the little thing called "respect" that we see a big lack in.. as for lvl50 stuff been there done that... i like the Old ways of the Thid world "Good players and Good Fun community" cuz thats wat makes it worth paying for

Q: asked about instanced RVR

A: We didn´t drop the idea, we replaced it with the RvR quests. The reason is, that we realised that DAoC is not an instanced RvR game. The key of the game is to conquer keeps, sieges, relics. Instanced 8v8 RvR would be a step away from this key. We don´t want players to fight each other in instances, when there´s a battlefield. Instanced 8v8 fights may be nice, but that´s not what DAoC is about.

Its not exactly the same but it kinda hits the point.

Just an answer from an interview with matt frior on the general forums. Still i aint saying that you lot soloing are doing wrong, yes its against the grain of the game, but you enjoy it than so be it, just wish for people to understand that zerging and adding is a part of the game its the way it was meant to be and stop whining when it happens.

Imo as a Hunter i solo because its more fun that way i dont see the point of standing on a bridge waiting for a soloer only to gank him/her...then 10mins later gank him/her again with 3 or 4 stealther mates hoping i get the deathspam!!!..we all know who they are you see there deathspam you know there not alone!

None stealth grps its diffrent if i get killed by a large alb or hib grp thats my own fault.. ie i have had a go at there caster or im being annoying...this goes back to my school days when me being brave was the one to poke the wasp nest only to pay for it later
