Xtro my lad. I am quite keen on Killing Joke's songs Eighties (Nirvana ripped this off, then denied it the lamers) and Democracy. I was hoping you could point me in the direction of other good Killing Jokes songs in a similar vein, although it's not imperative. Good songs by them will do nicely.

Hi there

If you are going by the number of albums, mine would probably be Sterolab, with summat like 13 albums (It keeps them off the streets I guess) closely followed by Joy Division/New Order (some may think its sacrilegious to lump them in together..but not me!) with about 12 I think :)

If you are going by sheer volume of stuff though, I think my missus has just about everything the Jesus and Mary Chain ever released on all formats..I think she has a "thing" for em ;)

Hi mate.

Eighties is ok, Democracy is ok too. Sounds a cliche but Killing Joke really did change their sound with every album.

Most albums are good but I'd recommend the first album (self-titled Killing Joke), Revelations, Night time and their great early 90s comeback album Extremities, Dirt and Other Repressed Emotions.

Basically they went from punkish to new wave to glossy produced but interesting, then to outright shite then did a great comeback in the early 90s back to their old loud selves.

You MUST get Wardance the single that really broke them tbh. Other individual songs I'd recommend are Change, Psyche, Love Like Blood (classic), Millenium, Extremities, Follow The Leaders, Firedances and Frenzy.

Tbh if you like Eighties you would REALLY love Love Like Blood, it is one of their most loved songs.

Surely EPs aren't to be counted? If they are, then mine is the Manics... Otherwise it'll be Manics / Bowie / Springsteen prolly, the Blues Explosion bringing up the rear (not literally).

If you are going by sheer volume of stuff though, I think my missus has just about everything the Jesus and Mary Chain ever released on all formats..I think she has a "thing" for em

She has good taste, congratulate her.
