most played and unplayed classes (!)

Heyas all... From the short time I've been playing, I've already cought a little picture of how balanced the classes are betwen players. Seems that a lot of people are playing rangers (which was the class I choosed) . So I would like to know what kind of classes are most played and unplayed on the 3 realms. I dont like being in the majority... Prefer to play something unplayed than played

in albion, cabalists are the most unplayed char I'd say, and friars is on the 2nd place I think

In Albion most played classes are usually armsmen & cleric (paladins start to decrease in numbers now), least played cabalists, friars & mercenaries.

Don't know how it exactly is in the other realms ...

Was doing those goblin tanglers in Lyonesse yesterday, and the sorcerer was mezzing. Normal it's my job(im a minstrel), but since they have aoe mezz, I was playing powersong and scouting/using my sword .

In Hibernia most played class is ranger... way too many of them about and they're only good for RvR so useless to the realm until lvl 30+ (OK that was an over-exaggeration of the case, they can do PvE but not as usefull as plenty of other classes )

Underplayed classes are Mentalists, Bards & Wardens. All very useful is groups but not nearly enough of them about.

Played with 2 celtic fist rangers the other day and they were doing very well, Rangers and Nightshades(or the equivalents of other realms) are very good to have with you if they have aggro control, one of them need to get a detaunt style though, he was outaggroing a fully specced blunt hero from time to time.

And rangers (altough I would love to see more nightshades) are very good to have when we come to RvR.

Are many enchanters and eldritches running around also but I am not gonna backtalk them

Way to few bubbleblowers I must agree and mana regenerators though. Come on guys a tank with pulsing bladeturn? I am making one as soon as my eldritch gets to his low 40:s

By sheer coincidence, the worst solo classes in Hib. Ah well. Just means we're in higher demand. Which would you guys prefer: billable hours or cost per bubble?

imo there is a lot more rouge classes coming through in lvls atm in excal lots of minstrals and scouts and also a fw infils .

In Mid, although it sounds strange, we luck Healers. We have low population of SM's also.
All others r basicly even, though Scalds are palyed a lot

In Midgard there are many skalds,thanes and hunters I think.There arent many runemasters.Spiritmasters I havent seen any yet Lol.For example when they are 500 players in midgard I ve seen about 5 spiritmasters when I type /who spiritmaster (my main character is 22 and I've played most of the classes to at least 7 level so that I get the idea before I decide.)And of course there arent many healers nor shamans who by the way are the most importand classes for group and rvr.....

a good shade does draw a lot of aggro ive been 2-shotted by a dullahan before because i out-aggrod a tank 6 levels higher :s that wasnt very nice

If you do /who Spiritmaster, you won't get the "too many matches() list truncated" like you do with the other classes. Skalds and thanes are about even atm, they are fun to play. I'm getting a little tired of little kobold hunters now tbh A lot of people are starting rogue classes because of RvR, not sure about hunters, but shadowblades can be useful in PvE groups too if aggro is controlled right
Just play which class you think you will enjoy, don't be different for the sake of it

I disagree with that

DO be different just for the sake of it. RvR will get soooo one sided if nobody makes high level tanks (as lets face it, they suck at RvR) and everyone is a rogue or nuker. The pvp server will be ultimately boring if everyone makes scouts/infs etc. I wonder how many Cabalists you will see on it. When it comes out i will be a merc, just to be different, because if i see one of the 200 stealthers around (and live long enough ) he/she will be toast.

The fun you get from the game is based a lot on the class you choose to play. If you enjoy playing an underplayed class then play it, don't pick a class because it isn't played as sometimes there is a reason for this fact. The most important thing is to enjoy the game, I wouldn't want to spend ages getting to a high level with a class no one plays and then find out why

Erm, Mentalist is the best solo class in hib except for enchanter.

Power regen + Kickass nukes = Solo

On mid - healer (just started it earlier, than shammi)
On hib - Lurikeen champ
On alb - Friar (havent played more than till lvl 5 though, cause i miss 3rd english server, i cannot do much in German server, my deutch suck )

Like I said, I was overstating the case against rangers, just for a laugh really They are good characters (I have a lvl 22 one myself, not that he gets played much any more... having too much fun with me bard in the Mines... ) but there's definitely too many of them

At present in Albion (Exc) you'll see alot of paladin and clerics, but I was leveling my alt in Keltoi last night and my God you're going to see a lot of scouts and minstrels on the battle field soon. (And yes I was one of the minstrels but my main is a mercenary, I want to have some fun at least ). Finding plate in Keltoi the first time round was a time consuming process, now I have 4 breast plates and there's noone in Keltoi who wants to trade them It's just wall to wall scouts with some background music

same with hib, if you start an alt 90% of the people are high lvls starting alts all NS's and rangers...loads of rangers...i hav actually seen quite a few bards starting up, i think people have realized what a cool class they really are (i think they rule)

oh and mentalists rule in solo

(not as great as an enchanter but then we suck at RvR )

About a month ago I'd be surprised to see a scout - they were that rare.

Two days ago I was in a group with three of them....

Still don't see many Infiltrator's.
