More movies! This time starring mr FOTM BD!

Here's ~20 minutes of fighting albs and hibs from a BD's point of view, I hope you will all enjoy. It's recorded over 2 days with Fraps 2.0, like Xeanor did. Only, I captured it at half screen size, so the detail level will be really poor if you view this in full screen. Preferably keep it at default 512*368. I did touch up the movie so it didn't look too crunchy.

But it will hopefully give people an idea of the fact that bonedancers have more than just the lifedrain to work with, and to perform in groups they have to use them, and not just spam lifedrain4tehwin.

I know it probably has a lot of flaws, for starters maybe the size; 240mb, so you may want to reserve yourself from downloading this if you don't have broadband ... Choice of music is also so-and-so. Had to work with what I had on my computer! And I was basically learning how to use Adobe Premiere while making this movie.

But, kindred, fear not! I'm in the process of making more stuff, stuff at better quality, better editing, better music, better battles, so keep your eyes out for more FOTM in Action!

It's because that Adobe Premiere crap for some reason made the quality of the text parts crap. I checked it in a crystal clear picture I have and it says 'Langcaster'

Well ehm... the quality very crappy and I think that could've been better... (i got 7 minutes in 60mb, you 20 minutes in 240mb )

Well most of the movie is running after an enemy pressing lifetap... and that damage output when nuking with baseline too is just even worse than an enchanter...

quite a nice movie, although better quality would've been nice.

I'd like a caster with my personal healers that make me sustain nuking and tanks, and also be able to doublenuke with that damageoutput and be able to run and nuke at the same time, and also debuff my own damagetype, a pet that attacks anyone that attacks me that also get healed by the healers and also follows stealthers even though they get away and restealth....

Or would I really want that? Naaah, not really tbh, why would anyone want that.

Thanks to all who watched my debut crap!

And yes, Xeanor, quality and size is leaves a lot to be fixed. I made a big mistake by 1) recording in the 'Half screen size' mode in Fraps, so 1024*768 got cut down to half size as video output. This somehow screwed up the quality severily when compressing to DivX (I think I compressed in 800*600, thus making something smaller bigger, resulting in an ugly detail level). 2) So I used a heap load of filters to try to improve quality. Median blur, sharpening, what have we. I think the result is pretty good, considering what it looked like before. The downside was of course higher bytesize. I hope you understand ... Next time I promise better quality!

old.Morchaoron, I don't rotate the camera because in all the fights you see we are about to engage the enemy; in other words, we know they are there, so there's no reason for me missing important targets for interrupting - like their CC'ers - because I am panorama'ing all around myself. And you're right, I don't root much. I consider the BD class being able to do more damage than do CC, so whenever I see a chance to kill/interrupt an enemy instead of rooting him, I do. You don't see zerkers staying back, blocking and protecting a seer, do you? The bonedancer is an offensive class, and I don't really think root is that good, especially not against classes with casting abilities, whether they be healing or direct damage. Anyway, Bananplockaren was our dedicated rooter on that few runs in the movie, and he rooted way more than I did.

Anyway, enough blabbering, I just wanted to say thanks and promise to make more lousy movies, because I think it's fun. And I know that *I* love to watch RvR movies!

Well, 5 minutes of uncompressed video usually weigh in at about 1gb, so 5-6 GB at least, probably.

Ive just watched this video clip. Apart from the music its ok, but....
Ive been having a break from daoc for a couple of months. I knew about bonedancers but let me get this straight:-

They can double nuke with insta and castable dd?!

Their pets heal so quick and for so much that they cant be killed?! (mostly)

How the hell are you meant to get away from them by running when they can cast while running?!

I mean WTF. Is it just me or is there something wrong here.
Are they gonna get nerfed or are they " working as intended ".

Seems pretty much one sided to me. Why the hell did Mythic give them an insta DD and at only a 4 second interval. 10 seconds i can understand but WTF.

Or has all this been heard before and i'm treading on trodden ground.
