I got cocky. High on my earlier genius, i was rendered incapable of answering this correctly.
You peaked too soon. :)

I was close; my range had 19 numbers in because my super-mad-skillz brain was discounting 0 as not being a quantity of children so I missed the 4 0's off the start. :(

damnit when I compute amdahl according to the school pdf it's not right, and when I do it according to me, it is but it's like everything I used to know is gone :eek:

The median is the middle value; as there were 23 people asked, it's the 11.5th value when they're arranged in increasing size.

4 families had no children, 8 families had 1 child...it's therefore 1 child as the 'middle' value is 1. Imagine it as the following if it helps:
0,0,0,0,1,1,1,1,1,1,1,1,2,2,2,2,2,2,2,3,3,3,5 and pick the middle value.

Its the 12th Value but yes.
