More Hunter advice please :)

I’m approaching my final repspec so some hunter advice would be appreciated please!

Composite Bow has only one style so is it pointless speccing 50 versus 39 +11
Does Critshot damage output get affected by specing skilling less than 50? V 39 +11

Do 50 Stealth and 39 + 11 both give you the same chance of not "popping" stealth when using the bow from stealth? Do they both allow you to run at the same speed under stealth?

Is it true that 50 spear is superior to 39 +11 because you are more likely to be using styled damage? Is this damage significant?

At 50 if you have specced less than 32 in BeastCraft what level wolf would your have (40?)?

Is the Aid Movement Shout any good in RvR? I found in BG1 that it was not too good because DoT, Mezz's still prevent me getting away as even a sneeze would stop the speed boost.

39 bow (possibly 38)
44 spear
32 or 34 BC (32 for best pet, 34 for next speed - 180% for 50 seconds)
rest in stealth

Ehm no idea.. but try get 45+ stealth with items, atleast 50bow with items(dmg increases when you are over 50 in bow also), 50+ in melee and then 32/34 in BC (if you are speccing it).

And yes the speedbuff is usefull

Im not a hunter myself but from wath i can see there are something like 2 main speccs

It all depends on your playing style ofc - there's the sniper one, and then there's the more meele, grp style one.

grp one could look like this

34stealth (dont ever bring it over 36 wich is even 2 much 35 is plenty)

39 bow

44spear

34beast (could make it 32 and put a point in bow or like.

Then there's the sniper one, wich could be something like this

48bow

34beast

34spear

34stealth


I know a fella with the last sniper one, and he got 15xx weaponskill with selfbuffs wich i think is pretty cool..

Anyway good luck with it.

If you want to be an archer:

50bow, 39 spear, 32 bc, 27 sth
or:

47 bow, 40 spear, 32bc, 30sth



Way too much sth in all the other templates, with See Hidden in game.


Or you can try this way:

Get the bow and spear levels you like, get 32bc, and drop the rest in stealth.

But but but but high stealth stops a hunter breaking stealth when he nocks an arrow and I believe it also makes a hunter move faster under stealth... are these two attributes not used much in RvR?

Yes but there are more important things to put points into.

Moving faster won't help against See Hidden though.

50bow, 39spear, 32bc, 27stealth imo, max bow dmg, stun style from spear, last insta spawned pet, and rest in stealth, with this spec u can solo real nice and good for groups, since u can do good ranged dmg, and compared to casters u got insta pet, more hp, and studded, and u got melee dmg ofc ^_^

for groups I would go for 44 spear. Also speccing above 50 (with items and RR) will only increase your weaponskill not your damage as only styled damage increased and bow doesnt have styled damage. So then the question is how big is the difference in weaponskill between 39 bow and 48 and to be honest I dont know . Personally I would rather have almost 100% chance of not going out of stealth during loading off a normal shot and a little bit faster speed buff and that 44 spear move.

I think every hunter should have the 39 spear move bow at 50 with items and RR and bc at 32 for the insta pet. The rest is matter off opinion and play style.

Also something that might be taken into account that albs infils wont have so much see hidden as it only helps versus archers for them and there arent many archers in this game . However I do know that sb's buy it to use it against minstrells and so will probably nightshades do it aswell .

I can't speak for the other hunters as well all play differently in RvR. I have never respecced and still like my spec as it stands.

On a normal shot I have never dropped from out of stealth. Nor on a crit shot at level 50. My insta pet is level 41 and blue to me.

Stealth 37 +11
Spear 39 +8 ( gets me the behind stun move.)
Bow 42 +13
Beastcraft 32

Before SC came out I could solo kill enemy assassins if I got the jump on them in either melee or from range. But since SC came out and I have not bothered to get any myself I find it harder to kill them in melee.

I doubt I will get any SC gear as I am looking to quitting DAoC soon and move to EVE / Dragon Empiers.

With 10,000 Realm Points and 80% of those where solo made I am doing ok. I dont RvR as much as other level 50's though, maybe only once or twice a month.

chances off falling out of stealth during loading of normal shot are:

<stealth lvl>/<your lvl> and for crit shot thats 20% lower.

I think that the highest percentage for staying hidden during loading off a critshot is at 80%. So with stealth at 50 with items and RR's, you will have the best stealth for staying hidden during you shots. Also the gain with staying stealthed within the vicinity is really small when you go over 50 stealth.

Have buffbot so beast buffs aint that important

My first spec was 50 bow, 39 spear, 39 stealth, 16 bc

When the instapet patch arrived I respecced to 44 bow, 39 spear, 36 stealth, 32 bc

I can say that 50 base bow is pretty useless (imo) you get a little tinsy winsy extra dam but at a cost of lots of spec points. My crit cap with 50+14 bow was 936, now its 918 with 44+14. Havent seen any huge drop in amount of arrows missed from the lower weapspecc, I still miss like an old lady svinging a stick at a fly.

39 spear style is a must, run thru, hit stick, hit Razor edge, works atleast once in a fight = 6 secs stun to beat the guy up. Whoop in another razor = 9 secs then.

32 bc for the last doggie, it is great! dont miss that for sure. You can go 34 for the last speed spell but I dont feel i need that.

And stealth, well it still works more times than not. But you cant expect to be anything but prey in a zone like emain, everyone will have see hidden and you will get ganked. Although the satisfaction of having those 2 fg run straight by you from time to time is good enough for me.
