When I go to watch a video from the internet instead of opening in Windows Media player as I want it to it opens in Quicktime, but not the player, it kind of loads it in internet explorer and then plays it.
I've deleted Quicktime from my pc and also the plugins which I thought was the cause of it, but still it does it.

Does anyone know what it is? I've also set WMP to autoplay all file types.

Chances are, if it's trying to open in Quicktime, then it's a .MOV file (Quicktime Movie). This is a proprietary Apple format and, as such, Windows Media Player can't play it.

I don't think there's any workaround for this, you'll just have to reinstall Quicktime.

(If it isn't a .MOV file you're trying to play, open up the Quicktime Player, select Preferences->QuickTime Preferences from the Edit menu, select File Associations from the drop-down box, and uncheck all the check boxes. This should stop Quicktime from nabbing your file associations).
