Quick question.

We've got a large list of patient names in Excel and each patient has a unique patient identifier number (6-8 digits usually). What we want to do is quickly and easily find any duplicates in the list, ie. do any of these patients appear in the list twice.

Anyone know an easy way to do this?

Quite an elegant solution too :)

I'll still probably stick to some old cludgy way of doing that, myself :p

Unfortunately it's not quite elegant enough since we can't seem to make it apply to cells *before* the data is entered but to be honest I think that's us just paying the price for using a spreadsheet app to do the job of a database...
