ok, now i have a plan before waging my one man war gurilla war against CE.

1. make a warden
2. pluck your blackned heart from your cold lifeless chest and serve it fried to the nearest legion i can find in exchange for items
3. use these items to
(A) provoke CE with an un-provoked killing off all the people in their guild that con grey to me
(B) make everyone feel jelious of my greatness ;)

(actually i'm just kidding, on the off chance i havn't buggered off to SWG by the time PvP comes out i probably won't play it enough to be the grand annoyance i want to be, <sigh> life can be so cruel)

Point made :) I know what you're trying to do Killgorde and more power to you for trying to make a top guild, but people just won't see it that way and most people will be out to get you lot, especially you, just to say 'We killed some CE!!!'. Not much you can about it.

Anyway, not to hijack this thread I think PvP will be full of two types of people...

1. Those who will only fight when they really have to. (80%)
2. Those who will kill anything that moves. (20%)

I personally don't know what I'm gonna be like on there until I see how others act around me I think. I might only play to lvl 20 and then decide it's not what I want to do.

I wouldn't claim killing myself or mine is an achievement ;)

Agreed, all the "undesireables" (myself included ;)) will flock to the PvP server. In some ways it will be a good thing for Excal. There are some around though, who played with me on Jumpgate who know that you don't have to stoop to the "PK everything in site" level to a) survive and b) have a blast on a PvP server. If it wasn't for the Devs lack of vision and finance (and maybe those two aren't mutually exclusive) there would be a lot of us still playing that game rather than this.

The one thing I do miss though, with RvR DaoC is the "faceless" enemy, and by that I mean the lack of in-game "teeth gnashing" etc I have enjoyed previously on PvP servers, which is often hilarious and without which the RvR format can be a bit stale (there's only so many emotes to express yourslf to your foes and all of them are ambiguous). If at the same time some idiot annoys you, you are taking this game waaaaaaay too seriously.

A simple policy to adopt re the PK brigade is: Don't get mad, get even - but do it with style and when circumstances permit you the ability to inflict serious humiliation. Sure, it takes patience and time, but the result is ultimately far more satisfying than some quick-fix revenge gank of limited impact.

Nobody can predict accurately how the PvP server will turn out, so it would be unwise to speculate at this juncture. Apart from different guilds on Excal moving over wanting different things from the game, no one knows what the German and French peeps (who combined will vastly outnumber us) have planned...and thats the challenge. The Germans are renowned for their organisation and planning, and I don't see this game being any different from RL in that respect. My detractors seem to want to castigate me for some kind of "elitism" by trying to be as well prepared as they (the Germans) sure has hell are going to be from past experience. CE may possibly end up a Mickey Mouse guild when the fat lady is singing on PvP, but who cares as long as the peeps in it have a blast?

The most funny thing to do ever must be this:
A legion raid in DF is planned for you're big guild/alliance. You join with you're lvl 50 pbaoe enchanter. When teh zerg is gathered you leave you're guild and group (can't kill peeps from guild/alliance/group), move to the spot with most peeps, and start chaincasting pbaoe...ROFL!

At least thats a good idea if you planned to quit DAoC asap after

bet that would be some nice amount of RPs :m00:

Just pick a class - level to 5th then attack anything you like - more fun if its purple to you but a group of 5's could be a pain to anyone for a while - plus as your 5th you dont loose con - theurge on Alb is probably best for this since sicko pet and unaffected by res sick.

After a few hours you'll probably get bored and come back to sanity again - hopefully we wont lose too many players to the PvP server as its getting pretty quiet on prydwen already - cant wait for a properly marketed expansion!
