He mightve respecced, but I'm quite sure he at least has been 44 hammer 46 SC 42 shield rest parry to get the last dmg add, some more ws+sledgehammer and 42 for slam obviously.
Don't know if he has respecced post-NF or something tho, and I don't think he reads FH sadly
I think he respecced sword as gotmagi said, think he said something about liking SoK alot thus being sword instead. No idea if hes still the same specc as before tho (44/46/42)
His spec is summat like 50 sword 42 shield rest SC for last dmg add think thats what he told me earlier. He almost said that he will never keep a spec he will keep changing so
Tbh I'd rather have a high weaponskill than 23 parry, but then again I'm not experienced with Thanes, does it workout well Eithor?
I mean, what does the 23 parry give you that makes it worth sacrificing much weaponskill
Blah, not 23 but 24 parry :]
(not big diff but anyway)
Well i have 1500+ ws atm, say if i'd have 44 sword
instead, i wouldn't gain 100 extra ws, if i went 50
sword i might gain 90-130 ws (as thane).
Now my parry is 24+16=40 + a couple of MoParry and i
have a close to a effective parry of 50.
Block/shield rate is about halved(50%) vs a
dualwielder, parry aint but remain as it is.
So if i use 1-hand and shield, or 2-hander, my defence
is alot better vs a dualwielder (and better vs any
melee as well, just more noticable vs dualwielders).
I might hit 30-70 dmg less then a thane with higher
weapon spec, but on ther other hand i will live pretty
much longer to be able to deal out more hits(and that
also give me the opportunity to use the 2 insta dmg
another round).
So if im in a assisttrain ill do a tiny bit less melee
dmg, but if solo/duo etc i have alot more chance to
survive/live longer/interrupt more/etc/etc.
Since thanes lack any evade, the extra parry is in my
opinion needed
Also when in pve, the parry is yet more noticable and usefull.
