I went downstairs earlier to have a look at my router which is situated near my family pc, to check that the lights were all on, since I was getting a bit of lag and that. I noticed that the monitor on my family computer wasn't on standby as it usually is. (Since all the stuff around there is plugged into the same area, and the switch at the wall is left on, meaning there should be a red light on the monitor to indicate its on standby)
I tried turning it on but it didn't respond, so I tried a different lead to connect it to the power line and that didn't work either. I bought it upstairs and tried it in multiple wall outlets, and still nothing appeared.

What the hell has happened? It hasn't been used in over a week, as I've been home alone and had no need to touch that computer. Is it possible something inside has just given up?
Its only a few months old and is a Philips 150C. Its a flatscreen thingy.

There'll be a fuse in the plug but as you've changed power leads it's probably not that. There could be one in the monitor but it should be easily accessable so unless there is a clear place on the monitor to change a fuse it probably is a hardware fault you can't fix so it'll be a warrenty repair.
