What I mean is, it goes to one colour and covers the screen. Most of the time it's a brownish type. You can't see anything else, not what you might have had up before, just this big colour covering everything.
This happens very intermittently and seems to happen most when I start video/a game up. It happens more when I have my TV hooked up aswell although it might not be doing anything on the TV. Sound still works, and the Keyboard/Mouse functions work most of the time(sometimes it'll stop responding on everything and the computer will beep when moving the mouse/pressing the keyboard) Most of the time when this happens I press the power button to get it to restart properly, and can hear windows doing the shutdown sound, restarts completely fine. I'm pretty sure it happened on my old graphics card aswell.
Any ideas?
