PS. IMO should be fixed by goa when they patch to SI - put those to "friendly" state and no exploit possible.

To bad it will surely be nerfed before we get it with goa applying some of the secret patches, Wouldn't mind 18p in 3 hours though...

Alright, so I know there's a few of you people still playin' DAoC through the holidays. Just for ya'll information, there was a small exploit being performed in Hibernia's HyBrasil area, where people could kill the merchant NPCs and have them drop 16.x weapons and coin. Know that although it is not an official statement on the Herald, but an emergency live fix went in sometime this afternoon/evening to prevent this from happening again. So for all you Hibs tryin' to get a few platinum for the holidays, fun's over people. Move along ;-)

I would assume it will be implemented in our version or People killing the merchant should be getting blackmarks/suspensions/banned.

Well, we've seen first hand that the Cloak/Instrument tincturing has been fixed in our version of 1.54. So in that case, a whole lot of US players got MP crafted SC cloaks.

As for this, I'm pretty sure...say...around 100% sure, that GOA will have this fixed before it gets released here - we'll be testing it on Lothian at the time. Now, both of these are bugs, and we SHOULD thank the US gaming community for bringing these bugs to Mythic's attention.

Um...ya...anyway, bugs, and bugs must get fixed. Just oh so nice that the chain pulling of Pygmy goblins took 5 (?) patches to "fix".

Hmm, I didn't think instrument tincturing was a bug, does that mean it's a bug to tincture swords as well? :p

There are Midgard/Abion areas with the same bug, and I know that the Mid and Alb versions weren't fixed at the same time as Hib ones as it wasn't as highly publicised.

So um.../farm?

Chainpull was possible on other camps too. Can you say autoing fins ?

No fin spawn has as many as the pygmy goblins. Not even the glimmerling warshadows spawn that fast or that many.

Of all 3 realms, there was no place quite like the Lyonesse Pygmy goblins. Where 2-3 FG could auto them. Maybe, just maybe in Malmohus, but that's got a lot of issues.

Chain pull Fins...ahahaha

Loadout
1. Chanter
2. Mentalist/Bard
if ment/bard has low heals -
3. Drood
4-8 : Any leecher.
Chanter goes to fin tree and places tank pet into it. Casts damage shield. Bard/Dru/Ment heals the pet. Alternativly drood heals and ment dds from time to time.
When mana low, pet on passive and finish pull. Rest/repeat.

this will most likely be fixed, since mythic will just add it to the original patch before sending it over to GOA. If not, GOA better suspend anyone doing that... bug exploiters need a kick in the back.

More like 4-5 fg on the hill spot brannor. Plus 5 FG at tanglers. :p

This is incredibly slow. Fins only turn red at L48/49. And the pet will get pounded every time.

A full 4 fin pull at L50 using this method, drains me of 100% mana and the pet leeches a TON of XP. Not to mention slow. And you saying "Tank pet"...pfft. You can't have the tough tank pet AND L50 mana (33 dps shield).

Besides, this isn't Autoing Fins as you suggest. Pet pulling only works "efficiently" with the Weeweres/Abysmals in Corus. And then you can really only have L50 Enchanter, L45+ Bard, and 2 others to leech...otherwise XP goes crap.

Trust me, I've yet to see anything that worked "as well" as the Pygmy Goblins, or those armsmen too.

Lyonesse was a MAJOR XP heaven. Now you've kinda lost the chain pull, but your L50's do with the tanglers, as we do with the Abysmals. Except that we only have 1 spot for that...and there's no group bonus.

Dont know - Osa from Free Will/Igraine leveled this way using nurture/regrowth bard-bot in 3 days 10 hours /played including epic and RR3. Ofcause targets of chanter abuse changed but imo this is a very good playtime. Also i would suggest help the pet by nuking when mobs are at 2/3 health.
Most of the time in DF, melancholic faries and finally fins.
She says that pet can easily hold 3-4 aggro purple mobs. Actually next best method is pac healer + supp sm, and only then goes tanglers and sorc/mini/wiz trio.

Wouldn't a 45+ mana ment be a better bet than the bard? :p

No, bard can play powersong, heal, AND give the pet buffs. Mana-ment can only do of those.

Buffs are very important for major pet tanking.

geez how much hp do chanter pets have? fully buffed at 49 (yellows/blues) i could only take a MAX of 4 hits from a fin quite often 3 but my armour was like lvl 42 ish :)
edit: 10 hours played?! that has to be a joke lol lvl 50 in 10 days is just insane lvl 30 sounds pretty unrealistic and at low lvls dmg shield isnt really worth using... unless i misunderstood what you meant :)
