Not a valid point imo. You can use "the gem" but its your choise not to. You can't however use the queen necklace at all and you may never get to use it either.

Well you may have a point, but if an item dosnt say what class its used by then all should be able to roll for it.

They should all say: "Only useable by Aicon or Kathal" imo.

What you mean "they will have to be placed for several"? Which items you thinking of here?

All items where the roller might not use it as much as the others that want it.

If A as a <class> rolls for a <class> item because he mainly plays that class - but somebody nominates his <class> alt, because he occasionally plays it, but might not *need* it, then one could argue that restrictions should be placed on this as well as for the necklace.

I understand fully that people *need* items, but if you say that only thoese that *need* X item, others can argue that they *need* Y item, and restrictions should be placed on that item also.

You *need* the necklace, as well as others might *need* a specific piece of equiptment (say sleeves for finishing a set or something) - then restrictions should be placed on that as well.

And so on ...

If you bring a seer to raid you can nominate a 48+ alt right? Thats a restriction similar to the one I was looking for.

On these raids - anybody (48+) can nominate any of their chars (48+).
So somebody can (in principle) roll for an item for an alt they don't use often, just because it is there, and not because they *need* it.

Yes, but atleast they can equip it and actually use it even if its much less than the other rollers, while the queen necklace can't be used at all unless you have a full suit.

I wonder. Say there was a kickass weapon that you had to be rr5 to equip. Would it be fair to let a level 48 rr1 roll on that?

The difference is *need* and *can use*. And you can't compare the necklace with other parts of the set cause the other parts can be used separetely.

Also one migt ask oneself who any1 is to say who any1 nominate at start of raid.

Perhaps the person have eqipped the main he plays most of the time, and want to equip a very seldom played alt, like a shadowblade or runemaster.

The idea of nominating makes him be forced to vote for the nominated alt. and the alt have to be lvl48+.
So if rules are that he has to say name of alt and level when nominating the alt, it can be checked on daoc-stats.de or similar.

Also just because a hammer happens to have one skill any class cant use dont make it worthless to a zerker for example.

For example a hammer with +hammer +parry + shield and + resist. it can IMO be used by a zerker aswell.
IMO it is the PREREQ read on hammer that decides, if a hammer is skald only.. well then it is easy no zerker shall vote for it unless nominated a skald at start.

In my opinion these rules are superioir to the old RUA raids, it gets balanced over time.
Especially like the PRE raid nomination part where u can play your SKALD or supp RM to help the grp and still vote for your hunter/sb.

That is fairness.

The raid was fun though we did have much downtime, but i guess no harm done. At the lotto part now there many bad points, not all to Akyma's account.
People were rolling for friends, and lost count how many friends were there:p, Left Axe was rolled by warriors and other classes than Zerker, Sb u have use of the stats, Another axe was rolled by healer (don't know if he nomitated:p), and stuff like that. I think that ppl should roll for what they can use at the moment of the raid. Sadly for Hammer Zerkers there ain't a Zerker Hammer other than Tuscar's which is TO rare:p (I was unlucky anyway:p).

Hope you continue the raids m8, and improve them every time:) GL to all realmm8s:)) Have fun!!!
