I would actually like to know the reasoning behind the closure of that one. As far as I can see it was simply some idle banter between several people which was neither insulting or ~insert other random reasons which mods use to close threads~.

spam is one off the other reasons
. The thread was in the mods eye just postfarming and that isnt allowed, which had been stated several times already . This board isnt meant to be a place to chat (posting every min in the same thread with 1 line
), but for discussion off things not related to daoc . Atleast i think?and jenna excal>> pryd isnt OT

At first the topic was why Prydwen is (supposedly) better than Excal. Then it moved on to something else, then moved on again etc. Sorry for trying to lighten up a forum full of racist/war/stupid threads.

talking how good the weather was today is chatting, talking about what movies you like is still discussing. Also changing the subject every 4 posts means you arent really talking about a topic, but merely posting because you enjoy posting. Which isnt what this board is for, it is for discussing topics with posts off course, but not for people to just post with no real purpose (except the posting in itself+gaining post rank(?)).
And a real topic is something you actually want to talk about rather than that something that comes to mind so you can make that extra post and keep the thread going.
you could do that by making a thread filled with jokes or with nice stories or with pictures or you could post 2 pics and have a competion who could edit them in the most fun way. There are zillion ways in which you can liven up a board, without resorting to spamming (making 1 line posts every minute IS spamming). Besides I dont mind the thread having turned out that way, but just saying why the mods closed it.
