Moderna wasn't dead before FoP so i see no reason why it should be now.
I bet it will be pretty empty a few days though due to NF.
Some ppl might try to level their chars in BG's instead but i think they will get sick and tired after a while and go back to Moderna. Concept of leveling in BG's are nice but getting new armour and weps all the time is boring.

I thought fop was nerfed in 1.71 and that it was the passive pet pulling that was nerfed in this patch 1.70.

Anyway thers still going to PL groups in moderna, this due to corrrect lvl of mobs and the amount and poprate of those are also good. Moderna migth die with Catacombs thou if thers better place to pull in some new dungeon.

Master Level Ability Changes and Fixes

- Font of Power no longer affects targets which have been engaged in PvE combat within the last 10 seconds. The Font was having an unbalancing effect on PvE combat. After much discussion and debate, we decided to leave the Font itself alone and make it work without restriction in RvR, and add a small restriction for PvE (rather than reduce its effectiveness or otherwise reduce its usefulness in RvR with an across-the-board change).

Moderna dead or not after nf 1.70 patch ?

No, or rather it shouldnt be.
Moderna should if something be faster than before.
(And ofc not because its easier now but because people have to concetrate more and do a better job)

Fastest way to keep moderna going is in my opinion bigger pulls but slower. So have 1 puller ae pull 3 crystals + center (atleast) with shammy stuck for endregen sprint. Then have 2 other pbaes start the pbae as soon as first mobs are trailing in. (Not waiting for the mobs to gather at group enmass that will create wipeouts) Then give it 20 sek rest, then do the same thing. This way you will still keep moderna clean from mobs.

This way is alot faster than old petpulling way and its about as safe as before if all do what they are supposed too. But ofc if you have 1 sm and 1 healer afk every 2 mins its gonna be hard

A few of us did some nice Moderna Xping last day before NFpatch.

We started out with 1fg and the ordinary petpulling. but eventually there was a lot of people who wanted in on the fun. Since it was the last day of Moderna before patchday we started talking about inviting them and we ended up inviting them to our spot to do a 2fg thing like the old malmo days.

Soo we ended up with 2fg and some out of group members with leeches in group. I think we had a total of 6 Supp SM. 2 of them (1 from each group) was running around and pulling with AEdebuff, getting aggro and then running like mad to the FoP and killsite. As soon as the redcaps started to get near us we started to spam our PBAE. It worked very nicely and we got good exp and had a load of fun.

lvl´ing in moderna is still great ( downtime has increads a little ( maybe 5 seconds between each pull ))
yesterday we did lvl 20 - 45 in 5 or 6 hours

but there are 2 differences since the patch


1. mobs dmg output has increased ( red con dwarfs do more than 300dmg per hit ( sm ) and 100-120 ( healer ) )

2. the loot has decreased ( before patch we did 4000arcanium per night now we are happy when we get 1000 )

Enh have done Thane pulling to the killsight and that works good.
And a thane can handle some hits to.
