MOC failure

This happened to me today, anyone else ever seen this?

I had atleast 4 MOC failures tonight and it really pisses me off since
it leaves me with a 10 minute timer and if Im lucky it works the next time I
press that damned button.
I died looking like a fool a couple of times tonight becouse of this.

Whats the deal with number of effects? I though that was fixed?
(too many buffs and you cant be grappled bug that was sorted a while back?)

Just running with normal buffs and cleric resists puts me at about 30 buffs.

I think this will be sent to rightnow but I fear the answer will be the
usual "working as intended".

What good is a RA when you cant be sure it works when you fire the damn thing.

Besides each time this happened I had to wait a full 10 minutes to try again.

MoC is NOT 100% actually i think it never has been not sure, But i do know sence NF its not 100% check ra's Moc 1,2,3 increased chance

Has nothing to do with it. The problem is due to the fact the sorcerer (or caba) has too many effects on him the MOC-effect cannot find a 'spot' and therefore wont fire. It does however reset MOC-timer.

How may I ask? str, con, dex, brain, s/c, d/q, spec af and regen with 3x resists only come to 11. :)

I've noticed the rate in PvE for MoC is like 75% uninteruptable vs higher mobs, not gone RvR to try it yet. :p

Happened to me quite a few times. Cleric buffs, including resists, breathing potion, wolf morph, eriny's mana and health regen, sorc selfbuff's and speed chant, cb mezz/stun, then pop soi and moc and you're misfiring moc, heh..

Got this happening on my RR5 ra of evade alot, I was gonna play with the cute unbuffed warder infiltrator but nah! :(

ask Knatte he don't even need MoC to start casting when someone is nuking him all over the place.

If it only didn't reset the timer, though it's not that bad now compared to when it happened to the 30 mins timer moc in OF :(

vs players who only want to go out with atleast 25+ buffs!

Its worse now since it didnt reset timer in OF ;)
Possible it had a chance of resetting maybe, but I know I used it quite a few times, got the message, and still had it up, dont remember it being down after getting that message in OF.

im quite sure it resetted for me in OF :)

OK, heres the deal, I dont run with 30 buffs, I was tired and did not
think about the fact that the buff bars are only 7 icons wide.

I had the usual buffs from the cleric in my grp:

2x dex, base con, spec str/con and brain buff, 3x resists + heal proc.

Thats 9 effects.

We also had speed, and ablative from the mincer in grp.

Thats another 2

On top of this I have my self buffs, erinys, mad scalars, ceremonial and water pots.

Thats another 10 buffs so I land on a total of 21 buffs.

In a fight you then get lots of debuffs, nearsights, stuns, RAs, MLs, auras (a twisting pally adds alot) and procs etc. affecting you.

HOW on earth can they not expect ppl to hit over 30 effects? :twak:
(I think the limit is 30 affects, but Im not sure)

I thought they fixed this when they fixed the buff/grapple bug?

Or is this also "...working as intended, you need to trust the ingame mechanics..."

It is 27. And when they set that max it was something that looked impossible back then, since all those ToA abilities wasnt ingame.

Still remember in good ol toa OF when Noaims MoC failed like 4 times during same fight against RR, hehe. :clap:
He didn't want any base str buff or haste after that :/

It wasnt funny!!

Ohh, and I am quite sure the fight didnt last 1½ hour ;)

I'm not 100% sure, but afaik it's not only about the total amount of effects on you, it's the amount of POSITIVE effects on you :)

New positive effects, such as morphs/auras can push you over the edge

Now, the question is, will this be fixed?

Anyone even heard a remotely vague hint of this getting fixed?

I honestly cannot in my wildest fantasy understand why you would put
a 27 effect limit?

Depending on how the program is written I can understand if they make a
hard coded list and want to keep it as short as possible to reduce
the computing time neded on the server side to manage that list.

I might not be the best programmer around but I think they could have
used a double linked list and resised it dynamically instead.

From what I learned back in school a double linked list was quite fast.

Or why not make a separate list, one from conc based buffs, one
from time based buffs and one from effects.

But who am I talking to here...

This whole deal reminds me of the rediculous attempt to save memory
in the old days that resulted in computers using only two digits to keep
track of the current year. (the whole reason for the y2k hype)

Polearm, thankyou very much. And its never been a problem till they fucked up cowering bellow this patch with the resist bug.
