Hey all, ive just found my Mobile Phone which is a "Sagem MC-920" its on the Vodafone Network.

Anyway, i havent used it at all in like 5/6months (Just been in my Car) Anyway, i tried turning it on, but nothing happens, so obvious thing would be to presume the Battery is Dead.

So i charged it up, tried turning it on again but it still wont work.

It hasnt had any Drops which could damage it, anyone know how i can make it work again?

When you put it on charge, did you see the battery meter?

I noticed this just.

No, the Phone doesnt come on whatsoever, no Power Meter etc

What would this mean? fucked Battery?

Could be even the charger, does it get warm when its been on a while.

If its the charger then try a set of jump leads from the car;)

perhaps the heat fucked up the screen of the phone. happened to my dads when he left his in the car

Yeah the battery/SIM/Charger are in Right, could be Damp...

Infact let me say a bit more...

I think it was actually in the Car for about 2months, and the other 3months have been just at home hidden in a Dark Corner.

I took it out the Car but it didnt Power Up, i charged it, but still nothing.. so i just left it..

Could Vodafone have "killed" it? Because it hasnt been in use for so long?

sounds like a mullered battery gray, it happens - you may be able to tempt it back into life. if u manage to get it to come on even for a sec you may be able to work some battery memory back into it!

on the other hand just get another phone :)

Aye, i wouldnt mind gettin my Hands on a Nokia, Cheapo type tho (£30?), but if i can get this Phone working i might be able to sell it and put the Cost Towards a new one.

Hmm, I just checked the Heat of the Powerpack, which i thought would be Roasting... it is infact pretty Cold, just a bit warm.

So... It could be the Battery? Or it could be the Powerpack?

Heh, had a similar problem with a T10.. wouldn't charge, so bought a new battery and that wouldn't work either. Also tried a new charger.. phone worked for a little while and then died again :/.

Had to take my T68i in for repair a while ago, it was only 3 month old and it had broke, they had to 'reflow the system connector' whatever that means?

Have you had the phone long enough to get an upgrade? That's assuming it's a contract phone. After 12 months you can normally ring up your provider and they'll give you a list of phones you can get for free and others you can get at a discount.

Well ive had the Phone for about ooooh, 2 years or a Year and Half.

I got it from Argos for £40 i think it was retailed at.

Thing is, house is turned upside down, and chances are the Box/Receipt has been chucked out :/

It simply means they have re-soldered the charger connector onto the PCB inside the phone :)

Ok plug it in to your charger and leave it for a couple of hours. If the charge indicator doesn't come on in that time the battery/phone are f00ked.

Batteries that haven't been used for a while (recharged) sometimes display these sort of symptoms.

If you have a contract with Vodaphone they will upgrade you FOC. Otherwise get a free phone on contract, or theres a channel on Sky "AuctionWorld", all they ever sell is phones.
