It just started happening recently, i can dual log for 5-15 mins, then my pc shuts down. I dont think its heat related, because it hasnt happend before, and i clean my cpu cooler every week-14 days, and i even tried turning off the heatprotection.

I believe that it has something to do with daoc (cant be sure tho) because it only happens when i play daoc.

My system:

P4 3.0 64bit with hyperthreading
2 gig geil ram
gforce 6800 le
dfi 865pe-tag motherboard
2x 76 gig maxtor sata hdds

Have u guys tried the same thing?

Thx in advance.

Erm, you might wanna check the temperature of ur graphic card, before ruling out the heathproblem.

Does it just suddenly turn off with or without BSOD or does it pass thru the logout / shutdown cycle?

Does it happen in Windowed mode aswell as fullscreen mode?

What PSU do you have, and do you have a program like speedfan to monitor your voltages?
This can also happen if your PSU doesn't supply enough juice.. lowering, or raising voltages can indicate that. (mostly the voltage of the lines raises when dragging your psu to the max, but in some models it also lowers)

ok this is weird, just duallogged, and no shutdown, my gfx doesnt seem warm tho, can easy hold my hand on it while duallogging. This was with the case side off, so it might still sugest heatproblems.

Anyways, im buying a new case for my computer next week if this consists.

Plz leave more feedback if u have any

It shuts down without warning, cant turn it on for 30secs - 1 min.

I dont know much about voltage monitoring, and last time i installed a monitor program (which came with the motherboard) i had a computercrash. Now i cant be sure that it was the monitor who crashed my pc, but it happened right after i installed it. But the thing that bothered me the most was that it set of an alarm concerning my sys fan (and i dont have a sys fan, i only have a cpu fan) u think this speedfan will do the same thing?

from what you have posted sofar it would suggest overheating probelms, especially if it isnt doing it with the sidepannel off, and it has to wait 30seconds to 1minute to be able to startup again, ie it could be cooling down.

Well im starting to think that too, only reason i didnt think that to begin with, was that the cpu wasnt warm after a shutdown, but maybe its my gfx heating up.

I just played for an hour or two with the side off and it didnt shutdown, so i guess im buying a new case next week and hope that helps. (which it should)

Thx for all ur answeres :)
