He has to be short, forward, and strict... or each raid will end up as NTL support !

Well

Well all I can say is thanks to Eggy.

He is a good egg who runs a cracking raid. It gets boiled over at times, and some encounters were scrambled, but I guess the game servers get fried with so many people in one place. ;)

We had problems on ML6 and ML8 over the weekend. I have ML8 still to do hopefully Shannessa's raid will sort that out.

Just waiting for the next rush now ...

Any volunteers? :m00:

Personally, I'd be a bit miffed if someone in my guild passed on a comment made in the heat of the moment on a supposedly private guild channel....

As am I.

And when found he won't be able to pass it on any more...

I'm not being funny here, but SS /gu by nature is hardly private. Well, it should be, but so many people have access to chars that reside inside your guild as it's large, that you won't even be able to keep certain things inside the /gu.

This will be dealt with internally...but I guess you will probably gain a few more members.

Bitter? I don't know the specifics of this incident, nor previous history, but if there are people in a guild who pass on what is being said in /gu to outsiders (possibly to garner goodwill for some purpose or just to be petty), then they have zero place in the guild. Furthermore, guildies who offer to reveal names in exchange for 10 plat are equally undesirable and need to go. I am sure other guilds would feel the same.

I think I was misunderstood. Thought Skilgannon's comment about more members was due to the fact we had a few move from SS to our guild - my bad.

My point simply was to make sure you realised the number of accounts in SS that are accessed by a shed load of people outside of the guild, and possibly even realm. I wasn't flaming or anything, just checking.

People should keep tighter control of account details, but seems it's almost free-market out there. Personally I've probably been offered account details of 10+ SS members during the time I've been playing daoc. It's not just SS either, it goes on in a lot of guilds, especially the larger ones.

LOL this is still going on?

Skilganon, you seem to have completely missed the point here. No one from your guild relayed anything said in your /gu.

Maybe not this time. But I haven't seen anything to suggest otherwise, and this is not the first occurence...however it will be the last!

<eggy^> !guild Shadowlords Society
<TiwazBot> Guild: Shadowlords Society Realm: Albion Server: Excalibur RP: 154,738,630 (929,906 last week) Characters: 286 (371) Members: 116 Website: http://cgi.site20.co.uk/ssforum Contact: niborhood@gmx.de

116 accounts in SS. Let's say 30% are buffbots/PL necros. That's about 35 accounts which are more than likely to be lent out all over the realm/server/community, never mind 'normal' accounts.

This is NOT a flame against SS as I have stated, before I get flames returned. I'm simply pointing out that if you want tight guild security on /gu you have to know each member individually, and make sure no passwords are lent outside of guild. Hard to organise with such a big guild. You might not know in future that people are leaking /gu or /o chat, but it will happen, that's a drawback of a large member base.

It may be difficult to police, but this has only become an issue recently when on a number of occasions a comment in /gu has resulted in pms from another Guild within the space of minutes.

The action to be taken is an internal SS matter.

before i get any more pms. No it wasnt me. I have not logged on my cousins chars for more than 2 weeks and that was just to do a simple cash tfr from one of my chars to another. Everytime in the past i have logged on my cousing chars i always inform SS /gu.

@Belomar, be disapointed in me all you want, you more than anyone should know how things are said, or actions taken in the heat of the moment. In fact, you used to be one of the worst for it, i lost count of the PMs i fielded from upset guildies, due to your OTT reactions to certain things.

to Puppet: big apologies. I said somethings I shouldnt of, and realise you were only giving pointers, NOT trying to take over the raid. Once again, sorry.

Your a fine officer of SS, and I'm sure SS are greatful for that! :x I hope you find the little critter, for the sake of the rest of SS :x, It's not nice having people back-stab you! :(

Uhm I'm more concerned about the mentality of the person who grassed Puppet up, It's amusing but also dis-heartnening too find people goto such lengths too get in someone's good books, I expect it would be someone attempting too join Synergy, I'd take a good look at the Synergy recruitment page, and see recent SS applications, might give you clues :x ! Although I could be completley wrong, just my ideas :x, way too much arse licking goes on now in DAoC, hoped I've helped alittle.

Take what people say with a pinch of salt aswell, don't get wrapped up so much you end up making a bigger deal of something than it actually is.

Waok, before you call anyone ignorant I suggest you read and fully understand the thread. Otherwise you may look a little...hmmm...ignorant?

Obviously I've been ignorant in assuming that someone from SS did grass Puppet up on the ML8 raid... I mean, obviously Eggy didnt get this information from a member of SS.

I only called Marc ignorant, becuase of his rude natured reply, something of a common rapour with the rest of Synergy members.

No one grassed anyone up. It is beyond me that certain people do not understand how the information came to light but I really cba trying to explain anymore.

From that PoV he was fully entitled to kick me from his BG/Raid. Afterall I did call him an "arrogant tit" (might been 'arrogant twat'; I dont recall the exact wording) in my guild-channel. Eggy heard about this and removed me from the BG; fair enuff.

So how in hell did Eggy hear about it, if it was not taken from his guild channel?

I'll re-read the whole thread and accept I'm wrong and apologize.
