Neverheard will be organizing a raid for ML7 BG steps on next Sunday.
BG opens at least 30 minutes before the start time. Sarnat will be the leader.
IMPORTANT: We will NOT waste everyone's time and try the raid with less than minimum amount of tanks required to kill Typhoon in a feasible time. Based on last attempt, we need approximately 10 heroes/blademasters, 2 rangers and 2 animists for it to be fast. Decission will be made when the groups assemble.
This is the 3rd time we're trying for ML7, last two times failed for us (wiped and too late for us to retry or too few tanks on Typhoon). So we'll try to make absolutely sure we have a decent chance of finishing it this time. Here are the rules
1) Do steps 1-6 with a group before the raid
2) Be on time
3) Pay attention what is said by raid/group leaders
Here is a short recap of the steps:
7.7: Flame of Volcanus. Simple and straight forward. Work our way down to the Chamber of Flame, kill Flame.
7.8: This can be a little bit tricky. First we have to get past Katorii to the lower chambers. It's important that people are awake when we cross the maze. No one should heal people from other group or rezz if Katorii is in combat with the BG. If your group gets aggro, die on other side, on top of the stairs. The group(s) that get through will rezz you as soon as she is no longer in combat. When your group is down the stairs and safe from aggro, move to bottom. After that, a bard will pull the pets one by one to us and finally Katorii. It will be easy after the crossing. If you get one of the plates from the pets or Katorii, hand it to Caenz.
7.9: Two red mobs behind the gate to Typhoon. Killing these will shut down the teleporters on the path to Typhoon and give credit to BG. Unfortunately they instaspawn. Our group will gank them a bit to grant a faster passage to the center island.
If you can't get past the teleporters, jump into the lava, and go around. It's quite easy, see how other people do it if uncertain. You can be rezzed from the laval next to porters but not from every where in the chamber, so DON'T DIE TO LAVA!
7.10: One of the nastiest encounters in all of the MLs. We have 3 tasks to accomplish.
1) All casters (except animists) will concentrate on the Typhon's Essence (flaming ball) that flies around the chamber. I've heard heat damage might be a bad idea against it so chanters have to listen if I tell you to stop using your base DD. VoS says nothing on the subject so I guess heat debuff + DD is ok. Use your ZEALOT pet to engage the Essence all the time. If there are elds around, one chanter should debuff cold and elds use cold DD. When Typhon is at the primary kill location, (can't remember which direction it is), I will call for maximum damage on the Essence. The harder it's being hit, the easier it's for us to damage Typhon. Two druids should set up FoPs on top of the center island.
2) Rangers should concentrate on the Essence when Typhon is at the primary location and on Typhon when at other locations. It's VERY important to have Typhon in combat all the time. Bring enough arrows or buy from a summoned mechant. Zahlence will summon one on center island on request.
3) Tanks and animists should be at the primary location and try to do maximum damage on Typhon. Best weapons to use are cold LWs and crush weapons. When Typhon ports, you can try using throw weapon or bow to keep Typhon from healing.
Other:
-We'll wait 3 minutes for all LDs.
-We'll wait 2 minutes for AFKers. You will get booted if you AFK more than once and we have to wait.
Lotto is as usual, /random 1000, first keys in a separate lotto and then other items.
