90% the bg doesnt give a shit whether the raid leader claims or not, why?
because they are there for the ML Steps so you arent actually helping any of the people that matter.
Im sure this "helping" will make youre e-penis grow by wrecking other peoples raids, the people that pm you are the same fuktards that put the drops they win on their cm's for xxx plat, these people i do not give a shit about.
I also got pm's from several people to run the raid so i posted one, unlike you who seems to enjoy adding on others.
hf fun on youre raid, no doubt people will join your bg.
good luck for the people who need the steps, just save the bullshit youre actually doing some service because youre not doing anything other than boosting your own ego.

The difference is that people that don't need credit for ML10 will probably not join a ML10 "claim raid". But people that need credit probably will.
And usually you need people that already got ML10 credit to help out since there won't be enough people that needs credit to finish ML10.
It's more like 75% that doesn't care about claiming but 25% do... or even more.
It was a period where people announced a ML10 raid just so they could claim a uber item... and don't have to "work" for it like you have to on a ML8 raid for example.

I think it's more about arranging a ML10 raid without claiming an item tbh.
Giving something to the guy who finds the portal is nice.. let him claim an item instead imo. That is the hard work on a ML10 raid.. finding the portal.

anyway this is not me vs u... this is me vs ml10 claiming raids cause its just to easy to do a ml10 raid. i'v been on ml10 raids where the leaders knew SHIT about ml10 , they didnt know 1 thing... they just survived because he had ppl with him who know ml10.
ur a great leader, and claiming things on "hard" raids is fine, but ml10, thats just sitting back say ZERG and go back to sleep.
and tbh almost 40-50% of the ppl who join are ppl who are just there for drops like me
@ fenderon, ill see what i will do with finder, perhaps a 60% roll increase
or portalfinder gets brogi!

Well, I think Chronictank can have some credit. He does ML1 - ML10 with the same rules, and maybe the people who joined all his raids, joined mostly for either steps or MLxp. So all those people are mainly for the step if they recently got ML9.
As one of the real ML organiser he should be able to get a fair chance of getting his ML10, with his rules, (where he claims an item) running. His chance of getting this going on is limited/destroyed by this raid.

The difference between Ml 1-9 and ml 10 is huge.
All ML 1-9 bg steps have fixed locations, except maybe if you do Moughart with the bg.
Ml 10's location can be on any of the ToA land zones. A good searcher can cover about 2 zones per night cycle, so with only 1 searcher and bad luck a search can take 5 hours if you check the known /locs and success isn't garaunteed.
And even then you're not sure if it isn't at an unknown /loc in a far away place, or if it moved during your search and repopped in a zone you already searched.
With Ml 1-9 you have to cope with moving from step to step and people going ld while moving in between steps. Some of the steps require some tactics or heavens forbid coordination and/or preparation.
Noone of that you have to deal with at ml 10. You just make camp and if your to hit bonus is good enough, and your healers are plenty you'll kill em all.
Even the lotto's are different. Ml 10 loot is always the same, no decissions to make whether to include scrolls/rog drops or lower quality drops in the lotto, because there aren't any. Loot isn't plentyfull, so it won't take forever to lotto either.
The only thing that makes doing Ml 10 a slight challenge, is finding enough willing and qualified people.
So claiming loot as the Raid leader reeks of pure and simple greed, as all the work has been done by the portal searcher(s).

Yes, Chronic should have credit for doing well organised raids on the other MLs. I have no problem with people claiming on ml2, 3, 4, 6, 8 and even 9.
ml1 doesnt really have any good drops these days, except the chance for a SoD perhaps.. and cetus cloak, but plenty of them these days and most use arti-fact cloaks. ml5 BG is 2 steps and really easy with few drops. ml 7 is fairly easy if you can handle Katorii, but not many drops there either..
