I love horrors and I usually watch them just after midnight and with the lights off to get the full affect from then (weird i know). But this is one film I dont think I could watch as it looks too freaky for me.

Would you watch this after midnight with the lights off and also on your own?

One last thing would you look in the mirror after you seen the film that same night?

There's a lot worse but for the most part, you have to look away from the traditional Americanised films in order to get decent horror films like that.

Take a look at "rec" a spanish film, subtitled but after watching that, it made for an interesting walk home that night.

Frontiers, being a french film, get some good subtitless otherwise you'll hate the butchered lines...reminded me of the "City Of God" in terms of the quality of subtitles (watched it twice, first time with good subtitles, the second with bad ones), being told what was actually being said instead of what was on the screen made me question it a bit...

That looks like quite a good film anyway, shall keep my eyes peeled :)

Watched it last night.

It sucked :(

ill not give any reasons, as i dont want to give people impressions before they see it, but it looks better than it really is.

they just dont make em like they used to tbh, i mean take Candyman (candyman....candyma....ooooh!!!) there was a good modern horror that really gave me the creeps had a good dose of guts and gore and made me slightly nervious about doing rude things infront of a mirror incase i got a hook up me whatsit when i wasn't looking.

Then you've got your halloweens and your friday the 13th's, elm streets etc you know all the good old stuff that was adequately scarey and gross to be enjoyable and the creature features were all good fun too (arachnophobia, lake placid, anaconda, deep blue sea) while still being effective enough to make you squirm nicely on the sofa and do the hide behind hands but peek a little through fingers thing. it was all good blood stained fun!

but now the horrors try to be smart (and lets face it i certainly do not want to have to think or concentrate too much while watching a movie of that calibre) and out do eachother with the special effects so as to make it traumatising rather than pee-a-little-enjoyable. I suspect i know why the horror genre took this dramatic downturn, it tried to get serious :(

you need cheese in a horror film as much as you need cheese in cheese on toast, for without the cheese its just toast! (in both cases)

now if you'll excuse me i'm off to shave my butt, its all getting a bit too profound for me here.

Its shit.

I love horrors also, but this one isnt really horrific. It doesnt succeed in building up an atmosphere, which is, in my opinion, the most important aspect of a horror movie.
