In a game that controls the mouse pointer? How exactly do you move the cursor if its tied to a crosshair in the centre of one screen?

Press the gui activate button on that you've enabled in your 1.3 config?

play the game windowed then alt-tab?

Buy a cheap second pc, use it to run a decent firewall, and hook up to the net with it, then run trivial things like IRC on that, so that mid game, all you gotta do is yank the 2nd keyboard over

The problem has been fixed in version 6.0 of mIRC, which now handles messages from a server a lot stricter.
